Wendie Planning on WW...

Does anyone do this...? Does it speed up your metabolism/weight loss? Thoughts please...! I'm going to try it this week and see how i get on anyway...

If anyone doesn't know what i'm on about, the wendie plan is a variation of the regular weightwatchers points system. You continue to eat within your weekly points allowance, however instead of spreading those points out evenly over the course of the week, you alternate the amount of points you use each day. It's devised for those who have reached a plateau in their weight loss and aims to give the metabolism a kick start. According to the Wendie Plan the alteration of points should look like this:

Day 1 : +1pts
Day 2 : -2pts
Day 3 : +10pts
Day 4 : -4pts
Day 5 : NORMAL
Day 6 : -1pts
Day 7 : -4pts

I'm allowed 20pts per day, ie. 140pts per week. So my wendie plan week would look like this:

Day 1 : 21pts
Day 2 : 18pts
Day 3 : 30pts
Day 4 : 16pts
Day 5 : 20pts
Day 6 : 19pts
Day 7 : 16pts

You need to have your super high day 4 days before your WI day. Example so if you weigh in on a Wednesday then your high day would be a Friday.

Ive never tried it I must admit. Being a sceptic, I dont like the idea that basically someone has just made this up off their own back.

Id rather stick to an 'official' WW plan, like Kickstart

Just my opinion though

Yeah, i get where you're coming from. Although, there's nothing harmful in it, as far as i can see... you're not living on dangerously low points in any one day. I'll try it this week and see what happens. It would be good to use when you have a day when you'd like to treat yourself. As long as one super high day doesn't turn into two, i can't see any harm in it really. I'll report back again next Sunday...
