i have become totally addicted to hot shakes. i mean, i know you can't make them with boiling water. but vanilla hot is amazing. as is the chocolate. not sure if i can bring myself to try strawberry or banana hot though. has anyone else??

abz xx

sorry, no i haven't but i'm gonna this morning so i'll let you know! x

Banana hot is lovely so is Toffee and Walnut. Extra nice is half pack T&W mixed with half pack of Banana:)

I love Vanilla hot with either a little cinnamon or a little nutmeg on top. Do not do this until week three and watch in case you feel hungry as with other things really carb sensitive people may be affected by this.

ive only had cappachino, choc and vanilla hot.xx

This sounds like absolute Heaven! I think I'll try that as my first shake today!

In answer to your question Abz, I love hot vanilla, chocolate and banana (this one I think tastes a bit like hot custard!).

could you add some gelatine to it to thicken it like custard??

I'm sure you could use the mix-a-mouse to thicken it, but I'm not sure whether it'd thicken while it's hot? Doesn't gelatine need to be cool to thicken up? Will give it a go!

Abz, I'm with you the thought of a hot strawberry or FOTF and junk makes me barf have no idea why! TAW is yum, my most favourite shake after the choc tetra!

one word - yum yum yum!!
oh, thats 3!!
hot banana is lovely, having it now and trying not to burn my tounge cause i want to drink it but too hot still!!
only use half a packet though, and a whole big mug full of water, do that with all of them or too thick, and yummy!
as taronga leela said - hot custard!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.........x

I have only ever tryed to shakes hot, choc mint (yuck) and plane choc (yum) i dont liek the banana i think it tastes weird!

may sound like a daft question but i am gonna half my packs over the day... as soon as i rip the sachet open is the clock ticking from then on? or is it once i have added the water?

so if i use half a pack will the other half be ok left open??? just thinking of this 15 mins rule???

mind you i never get my soup fully drank within 15 mins, it's too hot lol

ha. quite a lot of people seem to do this hon so i think it's once you add the water. just make sure you seal the pack again so too much air doesn't get it...

had a hot banana and i can say it was rank. i had to just make it in a mug at work and it was uber lumpy, couldn't get rid of them properly like i could the others. i love the vanilla one hot. that one reminds me of custard... i have a choc one for lunch :D

i might have hot vanilla in a bit cos not long had a strawberry after coming home from driving lesson... off work again today it's fab (but working all weekend :( )

i see you must be feeling better today abz babe... just a little bit of munch in moderation makes all the difference xx

i split my packs all the time, otherwise too thick.
i loved the banana one hot had it this morning for the first time and used a electri whisk, but abz didnt so as with everything, its a case of suck it and see and see which ones right for you!
good luck! x

Once the water hits the contents of the pack the timer is on as some of the vitamins are water-soluble and will lose their nutritional value.

It is 15 to 20 minutes as far as I am aware.

I fold the half pack down and use a clothes peg to seal it.

These are all water-soluble vitamins:

  • vitamin B6
  • vitamin B12
  • vitamin C
  • biotin
  • folic acid
  • niacin
  • pantothenic acid
  • riboflavin
  • thiamin
