i wasnt sure where to put this post but i started eating really healthy about 5 weeks ago now. i completely changed my diet and weighed myself for the first time today since i started and i havent lost a single pound i have tried walking more and last night went for my first jog and was really dissapointed today when i weighed myself... it made me lose alot of motivation can anyone tell me why this may have happend??

Hi Charisma,

Can you tell us what your eating, perhaps what you think is healthy, actually isn't ??

It is dissappointing, but don't give in and pig out, cuz that will defo cause you to gain weight, have you measured yourself, maybe you've lost inches.

cheers,

well i used to eat peanut butter on toast for breakkie have loads of chocolate crisps etc....

now i have tried to cut down meal sizes o start with and i eat scrambbled egg on toast, soup and only ever snack on fruit... i only drink 1 tea a day and water for the rest of the day.... i cut out butter on whatever bread i have. i thought i would have atleast lost 1 pound lol

Are you eating enough? Maybe your body thinks its being starved. It's very hard doing it on your own, I find it easier with some sort of plan to stick to. And keep a food diary, write down everything that passes your lips!

Hi Charisma,

I'm so sorry, I could have sworn I replied to your answer last nite, maybe I replied in my head and expected you to be a mind reader duh!! :brainfart:!!

It does look like your eating nice and healthy, I agree with Deli, keep a food diary to see what exactly your eating including portion sizes,,maybe have a look at the Weightwatchers or Slimming World threads, they eat organised amounts of food etc, so you could learn from them..

I'm a Cambridge Dieter on Sole Source so can't really point you in the right direction, I try to avoid conversations relating to food at the moment, to avoid tempting thoughts ;)

Charisma well done on eating healthy and walking. I am sure you must be feeling much healthier overall in yourself?

I agree with the others that keeping a food diary and seeing how many calories you are eating in a day will help to understand as to why you are not losing weight.

You have done well not gaining and I wonder have you lost any inches?

i havent thought to measure myself in inches i just weighed myself. i do feel much better in myself and if i do have the odd sneaky takeaway now it makes me feel quite ill strangly!! my skin is a lot better so smooth, and my partner said he will come jogging with me alot now so i will give it a while after i start jogging and see if that makes me loose the pounds!! thanks for helping :D:D

Could it be time of the month affecting things?

I'd recommend weighing yourself once a week if you can, just so you have an idea how you're getting on. Food diaries also really help me.
