Just had my first binge -argh!

OK I'm 4 weeks into this Slimming World diet and I've just had a major binge this morning. I don't know what got into me - I just couldn't stop myself and I know I'm gonna be so disappointed when I have gained this week. Anyway binge over I was just wondering if it was recoverable for the day?

So far today I have had breakfast which was crunchy bran and semi skimmed milk. Two hours later I had 2 packs of quavers, 2 packs of snack a jack choc popcorn, 2 hifi bars, a curly wurly and a skinny cow choc lolly.

I am busy doing some decorating now and hopefully the rest of the day I will just have home made carrot soup.

Do you know what - I don't think you have been that bad overall - if you count up the syns they approximately only about 50ish. If you go low on the syns for the rest of the week then all should be well!

2 hifi bars (1B and 6 syns)
a curly wurly (6 syns)
skinny cow choc lolly (10 syns?)

So...thats 1A and 2B's and roughly 45 synds, which is 30 syns more than you should have, which in reality isn't that bad hun.

Just draw a line under it and get back on plan, we all slip up x
 
thats not too bad hun - could be a lot worse..

Draw a line through it and tomm a new day and all will be ok with the world!

Now I see it like that - it doesn't look too bad! Think I will stick to fruit and soup for the rest of the day.

I don't even know why I did it - I wasn't even craving anything.

If this is what comes of having a day off work I'm glad I'm back in tomorrow!

Like the others have said, it's not bad at all as far as binges go! I know I could (and have!) done a lot worse! The biggest thing you could do to help yourself is get straight back on track. Don't deprive yourself the rest of the day - just eat whatever you had planned. Don't think that you just have to live on fruit and veg the rest of the day or else it'll make you head for the biscuit tin! Fill up on your free foods for whatever day you're on, maybe pull back on the syns the next day or two and you'll be fine!
 
No worries hun - i WENT TO scotland this weekend and I have put 3lb on and struggling like hell!!

You should have seen one of my binges if you think thats bad. If you look at hat you've donwe you've picked low syn food automatically. You had a skinny cow not a cornetto, you had quavers and snack a jacks and not dirots or pringles. You might have had a blow out but you had it on low syn things - WELL DONE YOU!

its acutally less than that because skinny cows are 5 i think, yummy!

could have been worse you could have had 2 mars bars instead of hi fis and proper popcorn and really high syn crisps

Yeah it didn't sound bad did it......however the binge continued throughout the day! I had two biscuits, two more curly wurlys and a four finger kit kat! Eek!

However I now know why this happened - I started my period!! Quite a surprise as I hadn't had one for 3 months - mine seem to stop when I gain weight so obviously losing the stone that I have done so far has made them start again. Which I'm really happy about as it means we can start trying for a family again.

This also means I can blame any weight gain on fluid retention this week :) Don't worry I'm ready to be back on track with the plan tomorrow.
 
Now they have put in an appearance again, keep some dark chocolate in store for when you get that craving. It will cure the craving in less chocolate!
