DAY ONE ON LIPOTRIM

Scotsmist

Life is not a Rehersal!
Hi
This is my FIRST DAY! Only 10:30 and I cant stop thinking of how my head feels fuzzy already. Gagged at the vanilla shake (made with hot milk, went all lumpy), put in a tsp coffee....ahh..had to have one gulp of shake to one gulp of water!

I have looked into LP for months now, and it has taken me till today to brave it. I desparately want this to work.

I have read your forum now for months and am so inspired by all the weight loss. your are all so incredible and so supportive of one another.

I am 12stone 9.5lb!!! BMI 32, so obese and not thinking how much to lose, just that I have made a positive step. Although, doesnt feel like it at the minute.

I thought the ketosis took about 3 days? Or is it just that I am used to having big breakfast (healthy fruit/yoghurt/cereal) that I am feeling so foggy!!

One or two questions. How much water do you use for the soup? Is the shakes 250ml of water? Does it get easier?

Thanks for reading.

:D

Hi Scotsmist
It's my first day too and i feel exactly the same....I feel sick and bloated and the only thing that's keeping me going (after only 3 hours) is the brilliant results that people on here have achived. I was starting to think i was maybe allergic to it, lol!!

hi and welcome well done on taking the 1st step its one in the right direction
as for the soup for women you mix with at least 8fl oz for a man its 15fl oz but alot of people do add more to make it a bit more watery you can also add pepper, paprika, chilli flakes to give it a bit more taste
lots of luck x

Hello to both of you and welcome to the forum.

Scotsmist - we can't have any milk at all so no more adding it to your shakes - can't have helped the taste ;) The guideline is 240ml of water for your shake but personally I always add at least 300ml to make it a bit thinner and last longer :)

I can't imagine you're in ketosis yet, I'm guessing that it is just that you're used to a big breakfast which is why you're feeling funny.

Both of you just remember that the first week is the toughest, and I can promise you that after you break through that barrier it gets so much easier.

If you're feeling low and wanting to eat jump on here and let someone know about it! They'll talk you round and keep you focused on your goal. Just keep looking forward to your first WI, it's what makes it all worth it :)

Good luck to you both x

good luck girls, everyday it will feel a little bit easier and in no time you will be hunger pang free and excited about your first WI results, keep going and keep strong.

Keep hunger at bay

hot baths
water
nice teas - peppermint, redbush, green
going for a nice drive or even better a walk
good film
bit rumpy pumpy
anything to distract you

can we have redbush tea?? :D:D whooo.

welcome both, i have just completed my first week and lost 7lbs :D made the struggle worth while.

you may find it a breeze, i found it hard, but its worth sticking to.

good luck.

THANKS EVERYONE.
Oh, I meant hot water...didnt have it with milk :) I dont really like milk (just as well)!!!

I am on my 2nd litre of water.

Another question, well two actually.
I asked the pharmacist yesterday if it was ok to have peppermint tea and she said no, that there is a lot of debate about this at the minute so dont have it! She also said that they dont do the urine sample weekly...is that bad????? I thought you had to do this? I must admit the lady that I saw wasn't impressed and quite negative about LT - didnt seem at all fussed that I was there.

Second question...how do you get the tracker thing??????

Again, thanks all.

Okay, question number one, I certainly drink peppermint tea and I know a LOT of other people on LT drink it too. The video states you can have any tea that is pure leaf (no fruits, berries or flowers allowed) and peppermint is pure leaf. Personally I'd say have it but it's up to you after all.

My pharmacy doesn't measure the ketones in urine. If you're worried about this you can purchase Ketostix from your pharmacy (they may have to order them in) or online. You can use these to test your water yourself.

As for a ticker, go here: Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy...

Design the ticker you want and then go to the UserCP button in the blue banner toward the top of the page and click on 'edit signature'. Pop the ticker code in there and voila! :)

Welcome Scotsmist and Olivia. Cant help you with the tea im afraid as I only drink black coffee but im sure someone will be along to help shortly. With regard to the wee sample. I dont take one either but there are things called Ketostix you can get wich you use at home to test if your in ketosis at all. With regards to your ticker, there is a thread at the top which tells you how to get one hun. Good luck and stick with it, it is sooooooooooo worth it and after your first weigh in, youll be so proud of yourself and it spurs you on. Trust me, I felt like I hadnt lost anything the night before my first WI and nearly passed out when she told me id lost 11 lbs! x Keep posting hun x

welcome to both of you, it does get easier promise, just keep your mind focused on things other than food and keep logging on for advice and inspiration. oh and water is definitely the key to a higher weight loss

alot of people drink peppermint tea i used to add it to my choc shake and it hasnt done me any harm.
my pharmacist doesnt test my urine either she says she will know if im in ketosis if im losing weight

thanks again!
Had a go at the ticker, but seem to have a discrepancy in my weight.....the woman weighed me at 80.85kg, and she converted this to 12st 9.5lb, but when I do it online- convert kg to lbs, it comes up at 12 7!!!

Am I getting obsessed already!

The fuzzy head has gone and I feel fine now.

I will attempt the ticker again :)

Have a good day; I need to go and do some work now :)

Thanks for the advice. I am feeling a bit better now too after drinking more water. Just trying to hold out a bit longer before my lunch shake so that i don't need my tea shake too early as it's at night time that i find i want a nice cup of tea and a biscuit!
Nearly completed all the competitions in Take a break trying to take my mind of it all!!

Hey Spiffycat, try starting your own thread as you will get more response.Welcone to Mini's and good luck.Drink plenty,NO FOOD at all and the weight will drop off.Good luck :)

Good luck to you both, I was going to say take it 1 day at a time, and remember my first day, so for the first week, take it an hour at a time lol, it does get so much easier, and the shakes, do get a lot better, lots of little recepies that people have come up with, keep up your fluids and keep logging on.
We are all here with you!!

Just drink gallons of water and black coffee. I can't stomach tea without milk so I just drink hot water and its fine. i'm now on week 3 and it really does get easy .Biggie is NO PICKING or tasting. Good luck and keep checking in here x

hi both,
It's my first day on LT aswell, at the moment i am finding it okay but my head is fuzzy too, have tried drinking water and it has helped a bit, mind you could be something do do with the fact i have a stinking cold on top!!

A lot of people have suggested splitting the sachets into 2 which i will try tomorrow so thought this info might help you both too as i dont know about you but i am finding that when i have a shake it fills me up but then 2 hrs later i am hungry again so at least splitting it will fill the gaps in between or at least thats what i am hoping!!!

Good luck to you both let us all know how your 1st WI went.

hi both, we have similar weight to lose, so at least we can keep each other going! and a bit of healthy competition never hurts! ;)
