That 3-4 week moment!

Hi All,
Any tips or strategies - seem to be losing the motivation a bit really. Think this is now week 4 ... lost track a bit really! I would usually have given up on a diet by now, but finding this easy to stick to. That said, I get really hungry in the evenings, I have tried doing something different, such as a walk or exercise dvd, or using my snack calorie allowance more wisely, drink water to fill up. Any other ideas? The munchies are calling!!!!

Do you vary your meals? I love the shakes but if I'm getting bored I have smoothies or meal bars. Move your meal times around if you can. Only have your meals when you are actually hungry, not just because it is "tea time". I might be up and about for a few hours before I have my morning shake because I'm not hungry yet.

Have you got an item of clothing you want to slim into? That keeps me motivated. I buy something I love in a size too small. Do you take your measurements? sometimes seeing the inches drop off helps too. And of course post on here and let us all give you lots of support :D

I'm sure its just a little slump and you'll soon have your motivation back. Are you doing the July challenge? Sometimes a mini challenge keeps me going whether its lose 2lbs or fit in the next size down.

Keep at it and try to ignore those munchies. It might just be your body getting used to the diet and changing your meals about might keep it guessing.

Hope that helps

i can't ignore the munchies, so i make a bulk batch of veg soup - base soup has no flavour - then I spice each bowl with spice of my choice that day.

Then you can have your no point shelf in the fridge, packed full of carrot batons, cucumber slices or battons, celery sticks, cherry toms

Oh and on the subject, had you thought of making ratatouille? put your veg of choice in a pot with a can of plum toms, heat and serve.
Works for me!!

Try some squash rather than water

Do you think, that might help get you through the next few weeks? Might have to change tactic again in a month or so to keep the variety up - give it a go - stay true to the reason why you started and may you see less and less of yourself daily

I think that soup sounds like a brilliant idea! Might try that myself.

I have a skinny cow ice lolly in the evening, the chocolate one is 87 cals and it's quite creamy and filling.
Other than that if you find you are hungry for food you could try a weight watchers soup, they have plenty which are all under 100 calories per tin!

Brilliant ideas thank you as always. Determined to stick with it, as am already fitting in to smaller clothes which is such a wonderful feeling. I like the sound of the soup, just remembered I have some sachets of 10cal soup from Morrisons somewhere - it actually tastes quite good! Also bought a book today with 1000 calorie counted recipes which wil help jazz up meal times, it also includes a snack section. Some lovely ideas in there. Once I have tried and tested some, I may post some on here as I think a thread with what other people eat for their 600 cal main meal might be useful - what do you think?

yeah I think thats a really good idea, I'm a bit fed up of the same things I always eat so it should help make my tea a bit more exciting!
