Welcome to Minimins

I dont think anyone else is doing complan but do keep us posted how youre getting on :)

Hi and welcome. What made you decide on complan? Was it a doctor? How much have you got to lose? Let us know how you get on. Have you considered a VLCD like Cambridge, Lipotrim or LighterLife? Or something like WW or SW?

day 2 today

Hi i started on complan and am doing it like lighter life as my sis did lighteer life i went to the doc and go no help from him i cant afford LL or CD or anything like WW so i am doing this myself i have over 5 stone to lose so doing this for myself by myself or at least with a bit of help from you lot.

Hi there. Welcome to the site.:) Are you using Complan as your only source of nutrition? That wouldn't be a very good idea because Complan wouldn't have all the essential vitamins and minerals you need. Also sole-source diets like LL, CD etc work on a low carb, low fat basis and Complan has about 35-45g carbs per serving and has glucose which is basically sugar. It's designed to be used when you're ill and don't feel like eating as I'm sure you know.

You also won't have the hunger-blunting ketosis that comes from the low carbs so you will probably be pretty hungry while using it. I was and that was with eating a meal with them.

I'm sorry to sound so gloomy but I just wanted to point out the differences between the two diets in case you are disappointed.

I do understand how isolated you can feel when you are overweight, especially if everyone around you has no problem. If you find the Complan works for you then that's great. :)

Isn't Complan a build-up drink? Surely it's not meant to be used as a weight loss product?

If you got no joy from one doctor go and see another and keep doing that until you get some help as you could end up doing yourself some harm rather than good.

On the subject of affording LL, if you work it out you would probably find it is cheaper than the weekly food bill.

And finally, welcome to the forum x

I am only on this site and few days and the help and advice has been FANTASTIC!!
best of luck on your weight loss journey!!
