:confused:hi ... well been to docs and he says ibs caused by over sensitivity now off the diet ... been ok this week till last night then pow!! the pains were incredibly bad ... i dont get the runs with it though more nausea and being sick .. i had had some prawns so dunno if that caused it or not ... having never had any food intolarence i my life or gut problems it is hard to get your head round really .. cos i cant put my finger on what is causing it cos had prawns before so .. is it ammounts of food ? .. seems wknds are worse ...no problems (touch wood )when at work but i walk round all day so maybe that helps with digestion eh? ... i reckon maybe for me its not so much what foods as how much maybe i need to space my food out more .. i am a little constipated i suppose but not majorly so .. but doc said sometimes increasing fibre after being on vlcd can exabberate the problem and even cause ibs in the first instance? .. i think by introducing to much fibre into the diet too soon .... anyway i will let you know how i go on in case it helps anyone else ... its a very complex ailment isnt it ?? seems it affects different people different ways ... but all i can say is the lipotrim diet now seems like a breeze in comparison to this !!!:D by the way since finishing re feed still lost a couple of pounds so good stuff apart from this dratted ibs!!

I'm really sorry to hear you're still having problems. Were you ok on the VLCD, and it got worse after!
Before the diet I had problems nearly everyday, and there was a brief spell of about 2 weeks with mild problems during it.
You really need to push your doctor to help you, or to refer you to a specialist. Life is too short to live with problems you don't have to and IBS is soul destroying.
Follow his instructions to the letter, and if he seems to be at a loss ask about a referral. Docs like most of us don't wanna put the effort into difficult cases. There could be an underlying cause, not just food problems, which needs attention.
For me, it seems to be dried fruit, onions, spicy food, bread, dairy products and fat. Apparently that's fairly typical!!!!
Best of luck! Keep us informed!
