Dubai

Hi Annette..

The only help i can give you is for flights,
My brother works and lives in Dubai, In fact his office is just near the Jumeirah Beach !!
Anyway my family always use Etihad Airways (The link to there website is below)

my mum and son went over 13 days ago and flew with Etihad and it cost £300 each.

Hope this helps..
P.S. IT RED HOT AT MOMENT..

Etihad Airways: The National Airline of the United Arab Emirates

OOoh how fantastic, The Jumeriah Beach!!!!!

I went to Dubai 2 years ago with my girlfriends and have just booked again for next April.

We've got flights with Emirates from Gatwick for £300 each.

We booked ours over the net but not as a package, just separate accommodation and flights. It worked out cheaper that way.

DH has also been looking into the family going next October and he too has been given crazy quotes that vary dramatically!

My friend flew Etihad this year and was quite satisfied but it does mean (I think) flying into Abu Dhabi and taking a bus from there into Dubai- about an hour I believe. My friend said it was very straightforward and the flight was fine but she preferred Emirates given the choice.

Also be careful to check when Ramadam is next year, generally it's October time. Although it may be cheaper during Ramadam you will find a different atmosphere over there at this time. It tends to be quite sombre during the day and although food and drink will be on sale for you, you would have to be descreet when eating and drinking in public. However in the evenings there is a real party atmosphere as the fast is broken.

Hope you find yourselves a good deal soon, you'll have a great holiday there. We certainly did and can't wait to go back.:D

Hi.. yes sorry i forgot to mention you fly into Abu Dhabi, but for us thats ok as my brother lives half an hour from either airport, so for us we just go to which ever airport has best price..!

And also yes it was Ramadam while they were there, but again it was better for us as Gary can then have loads of time off work, He only worked 2 days of the 10 my mum and son were there.. (perks of been the MD).

xx
