Ok - I weigh 12st 8 and want to weigh 10st - I have started my slim fast plan today and need all the tips advice help and encouragement all you lot out there have gained. I'm only 19 and want to look and feel good, both when i go travelling in Feb '09 and then for uni in Sept 09 - I am fed up of being the fat one - i am determined to make this happen :)
 
Hey fitforuni! i weigh exactly the same as you! i'm looking to get down to around 9st7lbs - 10st, for uni in sept 08. hehe so quite similar situations! Don't worry, the slim fast plan is great, remember to have your 2 meal replacements and your 3 snacks and the dinner is a great motivation for you to keep going. It's the only diet i have ever stuck to! Good Luck, keep us posted on how you are getting on! xx
 
wow this is great - how long you been going?
is it sept 08 that you want to loose 3 st by? thats very ambitious?
 
no haha, i don't plan to lose it all by then! :p that would be some kind of miracle for that to occur :rolleyes: and i only started last week, so far so good!
 
Hi x I'm also in a similar situation. I'm going back to uni in September but I should be a lot nearer to my target weight of 9st then. I think it's much easier to concentrate on doing the diet right when its the holidays! In a way I'm dreading going back because I know how difficult it can be when you're sat round for 2 hours between lectures and everyone else is eating crisps and chocolate! lol

thanks guys - havent weighed myslef yet as i have been ill this week with a stomach bug - not nice - unsure whether its the slimfast thats doing this?
i will start again on the slimfast tomorrow - but if it happens again then i'm not sure i should continue with it? x
 
Hi Fitforuni (good name)

Hope everything goes well with your restart and it is not SF making you poorly. SF definitely does work and it is an easy diet to stick to (I think anyway).

I don't know what your symptoms are but the only real reason SF would make you poorly would be if you have an intolerance to one if its ingredients ie soya.

I would guess its probably just a coincidence and hopefully you will be fine on your restart
