Should I start tomorrow + Preparation Advice

Slimpossible

Is posting like mad!
I am supposed to start SS tomorrow morning, seeing the CDC tonight, but I have a training session after work tomorrow night until 10pm. I don't want to put off starting but I don't want to be wrecked and moody in my training session, it's for the Samaritans so being snappy is really not on!!

Also what would you suggest as a preparation kit for Sole Sourcing? I have been reading all the forums and figure I will need a cardi (because some people feel cold), breath spray, ketone testing strips, a pint glass to help with water intake.

Can anyone think of things they wish they had when they started SS?

Hi slimpossibel :)

I would still start SS tommorow as planned if it were me. I don't think you should feel too wrecked by the end of the first day and if you are at training until 10pm it could maybe be a blessing in disguise as it will take up your whole evening and make Day 1 pass more quickly. :D

I think you sound very well prepared for your start. Breath spray is a must and yes, cardies and socks if you feel cold.

every best wish for your start, whether that is tommorow or the the next day.

Lacey :)

thanks for the encouragement, I will probably try to start tomorrow. I will just maybe have a shake mid way through training so I am not too hungry.

I had a water bottle but found that I downed it too quickly especially with a sports cap, hopefully a glass will force me to sip

I wouldn't worry too much about only trying to sip water . The more the better to encourage your weight loss hun :)

So depressed Been trying to be low carb for days now missed out on potatoes and yorkshires yesterday and I get to the canteen at work and all they have is risotto or lasagne!! I work on a campus so there is not anything else nearby to eat unless I fancy eating in a MRSA ridden hospital :(

I have gotten the lasagne but can't face eating it knowing that its going to make starting SS orrow so much harder

def start tomorrow hun. no point in putting it of. it will prob be day 2/3 you get real snappy!!! I think you have a kit pretty much sorted. I drink my water from a 500ml bottle i find this easier to get the water down then i refil it from a 2litre bottle!!

I think I will go for a bottle in the end maybe get a couple one to drink one to have cooling in the fridge.

I feel really sick after that lasagne but I think it's just I haven't eaten any stodge for a few days so my body isn't used to it.
Can't wait to have my shakes that way I am not reliant on that stupid canteen for my food.

I will start tomorrow canny wait!

I have a pint glass and two straws, I've found it goes down much easier that way. It may be too late, but if you could eat the meat/veg out of the lasagne and leave the pasta it would make carb withdrawal so much easier for you! Good luck hun!
