Not Cambridge but still VLC

After nearly 18 months trying to get myself back into CD and failing I decided to give the Euro diet a try, its still a VLCD but you can have food. I started this week and I am now on day 4, its been really easy so far and I am not at all hungry which is worrying as I was constantly starving on CD. The thing I am not sure about is, I am testing and the sticks are mid pink so I am in ketosis, the thing is I dont feel the same as I did when on CD and in ketosis. Am I right in thinking that if you are in ketosis you must be losing weight.

Not necessarily. Depends how many calories you are taking in too.

I should imagine that you will lose weight with Eurodiet though. It's very much like some of the Cambridge diets I believe (790/810).

Sometimes a change is as good as a rest, and moving over to eurodiet might be just what you need.

Very best of luck :)

What is the eurodiet?

The diet is similar in that you have shakes and soups as well as other foods. The diet in phase 1 is between 600-800cals per day.
I hope this works for me, I plan to try for 4 weeks and see if the weight shifts, if all goes well I will continue if its a slow loss I may return to CD but on a higher plan than S/S.

yeah iv never heard of the eurodiet, what is it?

Oh i am on LT but soon to start SF x is it expensive? x

I found out about Euro diet from GMTV and national paper. Its more expensive than CD but you can have food from phase 1 which is what I need. The meals are all worked out for you you just add salad or veg, some just require skim milk. The food is very bland but you can add veg or salad to the products to make them taste better, I cant believe I am not hungry on it yet.

We did have someone on the Eurodiet here. Think it was IreneH (moderator Irene).

Not wanting to push Cambridge, as I don't have to;) but did you try the other Cambridge plans? Seems a similar set up.

Quite understand if you just want to try something new though.

yeah.. it was ireneH.. i did it too.. but im far too fussy.. i hate bars.. i hated the drinks.. hard to mix.. but it was a damn good diet.. it was just me who was too fussy.. lol..
You get help and support.. they can email.. phone.. etc.. they're all really nice people too..

I tried but I think I needed to go in another direction to get started again, no matter how hard I tried I just couldnt get my head into cambridge so I had to try something else or end up putting weight back, this is similar but different if that makes sense. My plan is to return to cambridge once I get back into the diet mode, I dont think I can afford to stay on this long term, when I return to CD I will probably try the 1000 plan.

I can understand that. Go for it.

Exciting to start something fresh isn't it :)

Although I said I wouldnt check my weight until I had completed a week I decided to have a sneeky look today and I have lost 6lbs in 5 days.
Its been quite an easy road so far, lets hope it continues.

Fab stuff, well done!!

I weighed this morning and I am 9lbs down, I am so pleased that I have made it to day 7, the food is a bit boring and some has gone straight in the bin but I am managing and I can order the products I like best in my next order so I should be able to stick with this.
