how to cope with eating out

I just wondered how you all cope with eating out? My fella likes to eat out every Friday, and I either end up ordering something I don't like so that I don't eat too much, or I eat too much naughty stuff and feel guilty. Either way, it's no fun. What do you all do?
 
If I know I have an eatting out event coming up I would usually be really good until then and then use flexi-Syns
 
I work away from home so eat out quite often - I usually go for a red day and order steak or fish with veg and salad and a jacket or boiled potatoes.
It really depends where you go - chinese I go for rice/noodles and some type of vegetable in oyster sauce (ask for reduced oil)(green day) In an indian I would have rice and dahl or cauliflower/potato curry (green) Italian would be pasta arrabiata (again ask for less oil) with a bit of parmesan (green)
None is perfect but I have managed to keep losing
Alternatively we went out for a big family get together last weekend and I ate and drank what I wanted and started being strict as soon as I walked home that night x
 
i would eat only free foods during the day and save my healthy extras and sins, then try and choose wisely from the menu.

if you know you're going to eat whatever you want then eat free all day until you go out and then do the rest of the week on success express.

i managed 2 birthday bbq's (including cake) in one weekend a few weeks ago then did success express for 3 days after and managed a 1.5lb loss, so it can be done as long as you're sensible and honest with yourself.

Typical - first week back to an official class and i am out to a works dinner at Zizzis (pizza restaurant) the night before weigh in - therefore pasta is not a choice to have, I called SW online for syns of pizza and a margherita is 27.5!! The salads are basically 'leaves' according to the menu and no steaks listed. I have managed to print off the menu from the internet and have been studying it to see what I can ask for......

At Zizzi's I had pasta arrabiatta type thing and used 2 HEBs for the olive oil in it, and had a side salad. It was lovely and not many syns I guess, unless they used more than 2 HEB worth of oil!
