Cycling around Cuba!!

I did the biggest challenge of my life in February, I cycled almost 400km through India for charity. :thinking2: I signed up for it as motivation for me losing weight while supporting a charity that is close to my heart as well as many of my friends.

Although I didn't lose as much weight as what I had hoped, and probably didn't really get as fit as what I needed, I completed it and felt amazing afterwards.

I have now signed up for the same charity, and will be cycling through Cuba in March next year. :gen157: Again it is my motivation to get fit and healthy, and I dream of getting to my goal weight. I thought that I would share this as sometimes having a goal that seem unachievable can help you focus on your dreams!!

Not sure if any of you are interested, but I think that there are still some places left, it is only for women though!! One of the biggest challenges though is to raise £3000 before you go.

If anyone wants to have a look, it is women-for-women.org, which if anyone has ever had women problems, or anything to do with fertility or baby issues, this is the charity for you.

i really wanted to do this even got the week off work but dont know how i could raise that money x

well done you that is great what you are doing xx

Thanks guys, Katie, it is amazing how you can raise the money, and they send you loads of ideas. I did some bag packing, with about 10 friends, and we raised about £500 in one afternoon, a few of those and you are away.
You can also do a quiz night or something like that at the local pub, I have one on the 5th July, which I hope to raise about £1000 from.
sounds daunting, but you will be amazed, some people did a car boot every week, with friends and family donating items, and they raised it all that way.

Think I will give it a go very exciting xxx

that will be fantastic!! I was really nervous when I signed up for India, couldn't imagine training for it, let alone raise the money, but did get there in the end and it was one of the best things in my life.

Just got the DVD that they produced of the India one, and have watched it twice now, really brings back the memories, and I have made new friends as well!
