Hi - I am new to this forum. I am thinking of doing CD and would like to lose about 4 stone. Does anyone have any advice. I have two long weekends away within the first 6 weeks where it will be impossible to stay on the CD. Will this ruin it or will it be okay? i would rather not wait until after the weekends to start. I am quite nervous about doing it so any advice would be great.
Thanks

Hi, I would definitely advise CD, its the most effective diet i've ever done with proven results ... if you follow it properly. I'm only on it 11 days but from reading other peoples posts everyone says that if you cheat or break the diet even for a day its much much harder to stick to after that, so you'll have to think about that before you go on your weekend away. But hopefully you'll have had such a good weight loss before you go it will inspire you to stay on the diet.
Best of luck

Contact your nearest CD counsellor, they'll be able to advise you on what to do.

It's possible that you'll be able to get away with eating chicken/fish etc on these days away.

It is quite nerve racking starting any diet and especially a VLCD. Its really important to organize your weekends/social life! Ive just started the CD today after spending a few months on the LL diet, and what Ive learnt is you must plan everything! If you feel you need to eat on a special occasion then I would suggest a low carb meal. I did eat on these occasions but I chose wisely and it did not affect my weight loss. Anyways good luck xx

i am on day five of cd and boy is it hard. you have to really give it a good shot. the results are marvellous but you have to stick with it. now i have the same problem. i'm going to a hen night and a wedding in the next few weeks and don't really know what to do about it. am going to talk to my cdc about it in a couple of weeks when i see her. i do believe that we have to live as well as diet, there's no point in making yourself so miserable that you fall off the wagon completely. but it is supposed to be really hard to get back into it and i've found it hard enough to stick with the first time so...

abz xx

I think its best to stick to the plan as long as you can, people find once they take even a planned break that it can be very difficult to get back on plan

Best of luck with the diet :)

hiya, id def say do cd.id start asap esp if i was very keen the only thing is if you come of it for the breaks alot of people find it hard to get back on it. ahem...me for one im a disaster! You could eat chicken saladd and stuff and would prob be ok. as long as you get straight back into it.
