Stressing about maintaining!

Hi All,
I am 5lbs form my my target and I am starting to stress about how I am going to maintain. I have followed the W8 programme, I think I have addressed some of my food demons. It is really great to see so many fabulous maintainers on here - you are all such an inspiration.

How may of you followed a VLCD?

What happens on W8 when you get to goal? Do you have a 'refeed' type programme like the other VLCDs? If so, it'll take you back 'up to normal' and to maintain, you just continue :D

Yes we do a form of re-feeding! I am really struggling with the last few pounds though! I put on 1lb last week not a good sign for maintainance. I suppose I am just bored with the whole thing. I have had serious wors with myself today!

I think that's a common problem. You are so close, so the fear isn't there. You aren't trying to get away from being overweight.

You would think that being so close to goal would make you more determined to stick with it, but it doesn't work like that does it.

You need to be really strong with yourself. You have many years to do the maintaining bit. Hopefully this is the last time you'll need to do W8 or any other VLCD..

Hang in there. Not long to go now, and remember that maintenance is a job in itself. The more you can apply yourself to that last little bit, the stronger you will be with the next job.

Give yourself a good talking to and focus on your goal. Don't settle for the consolation prize of 'nearly getting there'. You'll regret it for evermore. Well...my opinion and all that ;)
