been to doctors heart problems while pregnant need to diet

i have a bad heart murmor which has become worse since becoming pregnant i need to lose 5 stone my doctor has said i need to get nutrients but i also need to lose weight asap for health reasons:(

i am eating

special k and a nectrine for breakfast

chicken breast no butter lettece and low fat dressing in whole meal weight watcher bread for lunch

and more fruit

dinner of eaither tomato or tuna pasta , jacket potato with chicken or tuna or fish steak with steamed veg

any ideas ?? i want my baby to get all needed nutrients and i also need to lose as much weight as i can

i really need some help my doctor has been rubbish with helping me hes rude and quite nasty to be honest i have been today to change him to another gp
 
Jazz86, I totally sympathise with you. While I was preganant I put on 4 stone, and thats not incl baby weight, I went from a size 8 before birth to a size 18/20 after birth, whilst I was in labour I was due to get an epidural and the doc had to get phoned from his house caus one of the other docs couldnt get the needle in my back, when the guy got to the hospital he tried another 4 times, eventually got it in and said he they struggled caus im overweight!! Wot a thing to say when someones in labour. Anyways, Being pregant is very hard to eat healthy caus your twice as hungry! Try eating alot of stuff that fills you up, yogurts and chicken. Pasta and rice etc tend to leave me hungry soon after. Hope this helps!! I wish i'd ate healthier during my pregancy, what you eat in pregnancy really effects what the baby likes/dislikes in life, and no one wants their baby to only eat rubbish!! I ate all sorts, an extra lunch and dinner every day!! M
 
Can you see another doctor? Dietting while pregnant should really be supervised either by a dietician through your doctor or a slimming consultant. There are a lot of diets that you can't do while pregnant but I know you can do Slimming World throughout pregnancy. Try to see another doctor and get an appointment with a dietician if you are going it alone x
