gallstones?

for few days nowi have been experiencing some bad pain on my right side under my ribs, nearer top my back... like bubbles now and then but quite severe?

go to the GP amethyst that (sorry) sounds like gallstones.
Does it feel like you've been winded (like someone hit you in the stomach)?

well i had them and have had them and my gallbladder out since. The pain was agnony i was literally bent over not able to walk in soo much pain cudnt get to sleep nothing i just used to sit awake on the bed at night. Mine started at me not long after i got pregnant. If you go to you gp he/she might send u for a scan

doesnt feel like i been winded just now and then a pain like bubbles in my side lasts about a minute and its pretty severe but nothing else.. ?

i dont wanna go to sleep :(

could it be anything else?

If it's under your ribs and in your back on the right hand side, I'm no doctor, but I'd be pretty sure that it'd be gallstones! Have you taken painkillers?

does it keep coming and going or is it there lingering?? pains i got lingered on for a few hrs then all of a sudden go weird!

yeah come and go, in the front aswell just had another flare.. omg what will they do? i dont wana go to sleep :(

Do you mean for an op? If that's what you mean I think they can use a sonic wave thing to break them up (I'll let you know as soon as I've seen my surgeon), you don't need to sleep for that I don't think.

yes thats what i mean, last time i went to sleep after i had my baby i panicked cus i didnt like the feeling of it.. couldnt breath and all.. was terrified..

dont need this :(

perhaps they may go away? if it is gallstones?

Hello lovey!

I would go and see your GP. Gallstones are really common in women who are overweight, who have been pregnant or who have been dieting ( every woman I know then! :) ) most people don't know they have them - until they hurt! I didn't know I had them until my last C section when they had to move my gall bladder out of the way and it sort of jangled them. Hurt like hell for a few days!

Don't be scared that having gallstones means surgery - they might leave you alone once you're off CD. I would go and get some advice and some painkillers though. The only thing I would say is that gallstones can lead to another disease which is serious - can't remember the word but it starts with a c - and the first sign of that is where you turn yellow, like jaundice. It's where one of the pesky little blighters blocks a bile duct. Quite rare though.

XXX The trials of being a woman, eh?!!? :D

The pain my go away but they never will I'm afraid unless you have them dealt with. Like Chebs said it can lead to more serious health problems if you're not careful so it's better to deal with them now. Talk to your GP and they should be able to tell you your options better than we can.

oh dear :( will get in the morning hopefully.. but the now and again pain may go? will see in the morning... (gulp)

just tld oh he like said nothing, more concerned about his dog limping.... ffs lol... what ever my diagnosis i will come here tell you guys, wont say a word to him unless i have to go get what ever sorted out surgicly (awake).. sod him!
