Why do I have a strange feeling that you are talking to me

YOU??? Noooooooooooooo :D

By the way my thing is talking!!! I know you wouldn't have thought so but I do absolutely love talking :D and for many years I wondered about what I could do that will help me talk alot and still earn a living!

So, I joined my local Toastmasters (a public speaking organisation) which then led to me being a guest speaker at the Public Speaking Association (PSA) and now I get paid to speak at various conferences, seminars, exhibitions and anything that takes my fancy actually!!!

Do I ever feel as if I'm working? Very rarely - only on the days when I have to put a suit on and do corporate stuff!! I hate it so am looking forward to next Feb, when my final corporate contract comes to an end! :)

Wow Diva. I'd love to have the confidence to do that. What do you talk about? Do they give you a subject? Sorry...bit fick about these things.

I usually have to address parents at concerts, and sometimes lecture at the local Uni...but I'm a bag of nerves. I'm getting better at it though. It's all practice isn't it.

So what makes me feel good? My job I reckon. I love my job even after many years of doing the same thing, it's always fresh and new. Something rewarding for me every day. Teaching is my passion and it always has been.

I was stopped by a market researcher in the street a couple of days ago. She asked me what I would love to do if I could chose and I said "teach". Then she asked me what my job was and we had a laugh. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones to be doing a job that I love :)

My topics vary according to the audience that I'm addressing. I ran my own Marketing Communications consultancy for many years before I took up coaching full time so if I'm addressing a business audience it will usually be around one or all of the marketing disciplines such as advertising, branding, etc.

Other topics includes women's communication skills, personal branding, living your best life....all the type of stuff that I talk about on here really! :D

What is really making me feel good today though is clearing out all of the rubbish from the garage, loft and the rest of the house in preparation for our move. Even our 4yr old is getting in on the act!! :)
