The diet plate

Hi there! I only joined this site today, I am hoping it is full of like minded people trying to stop their knees from hurting by losing a few pounds. I started dieting with the diet plate at the beginning of May and so far have lost 12 pounds. Has anyone else tried this one and have they had any success? I would be interested to know if anyone else has used this method. I have tried all sorts of diets over the years, slimming club, weight watchers, Hay diet, you name it, I've tried it. My goal is to get to 11stone 7lbs, a weight I haven't seen in 20 years so am determined to take it slow and steady. I am in for the long haul and need all the encouragement I can get.

I've got the diet plate but must confess i haven't yet used it, like you I 've being on diets, I just started SW two wks ago and its gone paer shape already, not even had my first weight in, but I've put on once again, the diet plate looks easy but I get confused when you have meat its not much,

Question what do you have for breakfast and lunch? would be interested I need HELP!!!!!!!!!

When I'm at work I have a slice of toast and marmite for breakfast, for lunch I either have a sandwich or what's left from tea the night before. I always have fruit with me for when I get peckish and I set no limit on that. For cereal they say just weigh out the equivalent of 100 calories and add milk, or have poached egg on toast. The beauty of this is that you don't feel like you are dieting because you can always eat something if you are hungry (granted not chocolate) but surprisingly it takes a relatively short time to get used to it. I had chip-shop chips for tea last night, I piled them into the carb section as high as they would go without toppling over and going over the line with chicken curry in the meat section. I admit it takes some getting used to, but give it a week, I have now just finished week 6 of this and I have now lost 15 pounds, and I haven't obsessed about food once. A small tip, for a treat at night, buy waffle cornets and have a scoop of ice cream, yum. The diet plate web site has lots of useful tips too.

I have the diet plate at home, which I intend to use when I finish cd. Ive also got the diet bowl, which is obviously great for breakfast and soups etc

I was a bit of a crisp junkie so I went cold turkey and cut them out completely, the same with chocolate. The first thing I had to do was get my head in the right place, but I still go out twice a week and drink lager, and I still drink the odd glass of wine at home, I suppose when I lose more I might have to reduce those, but not yet. So basically I have cut out the 'in-between' meals snacks and changed them to fruit and reduced the portions I eat with the plate and increased the veg and salad. I know it sounds simple, but I did have a few early nights the first week to stop myself eating but after the first week it got so much better. I hope this helps. It would be great to compare notes if you decide to use the plate.
