Dizziness

On Saturday night I went to the gym and spent 30 mins on the treadmill followed by 10 mins in the steam room and a short time in the jacuzzi. When I hit the shower I began to feel light headed and dizzy. I thought I was going to pass out but after a few minutes I began to feel a bit better. I know that these symptoms are related to TFR as the work out was not one of my more rigorous and I'm more than used of the steam room. I suspect it could be related to my blood sugar levels being low - although I do drink vast quantities of water.
:confused:Any help or advice would be welcomed!

this is purely my own opinion and I think people do too much vigerous exercise on LT I am not saying do none but I really think we should take it easier we are putting our minds and bodies under enormous changes from what its use to and it could bite back real hard so just becareful!

my mate started lp a week ago and we have been doing the swim followed by steam and jucuzzi, and she has been feeling sick and dizzy, we figured it out, your losing too much fluid when your too hot! she drank loads of water before and after and is ok now so get drinking

Yeah i agree with jackies post ...you're sweating in the gym...then in the steam room and you arent upping your water to allow for this ...so drink more before and after you exercise i you should feel better xx

you are also on absolute minimum calories, what your eating is barely enough to keep you warm never mind doing a triathlon.

i see where you are coming from hun...but you are on as many cals as you need... once you have burnt the lt calories... your body then starts burning your stores and makes as many cals as you need to cover the exercise you are doing. so in esscence you are living off as many cals as you use in a day, just getting them from a different place from before xx:D

All I know is that from my own personal expeirence I havent done any exercise with LT and Im on week 9 (starting to do some though this week and build up slowly) but I am getting a lot of dizzy spells and light headedness especially when Im in the shower. Just take it easy hun, and although exercise is great, perhaps build it up until your body gets used to exercise and low calories as well?

You definately overdid it.......you dont really need to exercise on LT, if you need to do it take it easy !

how fast u going on treadmill btw, i have 1 at home, i been on LT 5 weeks now so i use it often , i just did half hour power walking, and as nic says drink lots before and after, u could just be over doing it on treadmill try slow down a lil, :p

This is not a medical opinion, just my personal POV, I think it is probably linked to the steam room, I know I was told to avoid it when pregnant, although you are not doing anything strenuous there, the humidity can effect your blood pressure and make you feel faint. LT effects your blood pressure anyway in some instances, perhaps if you left that out you would be OK.
Hope you feel OK now. :)
