need some advice for you guys...

can start AAMW in my fifth week (17/06/08) or i can go to 12 weeks on just my shakes etc....

what do you feel is the best option?? as a lot of you know i want to lose about 3 stone by my cousins wedding in july and have lost 20lbs so far...

would aamw slow my weight loss right down or can i succeed better if i stay on my shakes as long as possible???

I have almost finished 10 weeks SS without a break I feel that has been the best option for me, the AAMW has had different effects on different people some lose the same or more, or some lose slightly less that week.

Some people who have had sluggish losses have benefitted from the AAMW its hard to know

Personally I am happy that I have deferred it. I am going to start moving up the plans once I finish week 10 :)

If you have not reached a BMI of 25 you can probably continue to SS. The CD changed in Feb I believe where on the new plan people with a certain amount to lose and a BMI over 25 could do SS for 12 weeks (bit like LL I guess?). However, if you reach a BMI of 25 or less you may either need to to AAM or another plan (I am afraid I don't know enough about the AAM and pre Feb CD but hopefully someone else will come along and explain). If like me you are of Asian origin apparently one could SS for a little longer i.e. BMI be lower than 25. I discussed this with my CDC and we agreed I could move up a plan and see how I got on. Best to discuss with your CDC.

My CDC recommended I do aam week as my wl was quite slow. It did seem to help and I had no problems going back to ss.
I'm doing aam this week again and hope to have the same success.
It's really a personal preference and either way i'm sure you'll hit your goal.
