Feeling very tired

I have been on the cambridge diet for 4 months now and have lost 6 and a half stone.

I have about another 2 stones to loose. The problem is I am feeling exhausted. I feel weak and tired all of the time. I do everything right - and I am taking extra iron. I drink enough as well.

I must admit that I did feel better when I did an add a meal week. Is it possible for the rest of my diet to add a meal everyday? will it slow down my weight loss considerably?

thanks for any advice.:)

Hi Butterscotch

Have you asked your CDC about doing the 790 plan I believe the weight loss is similar. I think 4 months is enough for most of us to do this plan I know I feel that way too. What is your BMI now? It may be that you shouldn't be SSing now anyway. When I got to normal BMI I felt like yourself and new it was right to move down the plans while getting to goal. It is also good to introduce foods again slowly to learn control of eating which isn't easy for me it's a challenge.

A CDC will spot your post and advise shortly too.

I echo what Dizzy said. AAM followed shortly after by 790 sounds the way to go.

Fantastic weightloss BTW. What a star!!

Yes butterscotch I think you've been doing fantastic!! Maybe you should take a break, start eating abit more, about 1200cal. Maybe for a week? Then you'll feel totally refreshed to restart the CD after that. Who knows , you'll be able to experience the great weight loss that most do on the first week, because we all know that results from dieting will slow down as the period gets longer. hang on. :)

anyways, can anybody explain the whole thing about ketosis? I'm really not quite sure about it myself..

790 will keep you in ketosis, go higher and you may risk losing that benefit. I'm really looking forwards to getting to that point (another couple of weeks) because I'm lacking energy too.

thanks for all of your input guys. And thanks for the encouragement - I really appreciate it.

I am starting an add a meal week today - this will help and as some of you have said I will look into the 790 plan (think that I will start this after add a meal)

I know that it sounds silly - but it feels like cheating! I know my body and I know that it is the right time to start reintroducing food. But because I still have 2 stones to loose I feel guilty!
I think that it comes down to not trusting the voice in my head telling me I need food. In the past this has been the voice that sabatages (sp?) me. I have got to learn to trust myself again!
