hi everyone, well my 2nd attempt at day1 (came off on day2 last time cos i fainted n gave myself concussion :doh:) and guess what i fainted again!!! luckily was at home so I was fine and was taking it easy already, but think i gonna need to speak to the quack again tomorrow, they said if it happend again i would need to come off LT....

so advice please ppls
a) do i not tell them and try again
b) try 2 shakes and a low cal/carb meal(done this after 1st episode and was ok for 2days)
c) look for a new diet, any ideas!!!
d) go back to atkins and force myself to live on meal again

answers on a postcard LOL, what do you think?

Have you tried dividing your shakes in half and having smaller and more regular meals???

It is probably worth a try .... plus drinking lots of water - but also get a second opinion from GP.
 
I would say get checked over for something else underlying (not trying to panic you!), because I've never heard of anybody else on here having such bad luck with LT!

Only a professional can really advise you hope it all works out well for you!

I think If you can say that you have followed the diet to the letter, had all your water and your 2 shakes and not been doing exercise in the first week then maybe this is not the diet for you. It does not suit everyone and would definately get checked out. Nice if you could try again. Good luck with whatever you choose:)

Health number one hun. Speak to your GP. Keep us posted. There are loads of other diets and I'm sure you'll find another one, if the advice is LT is not for you.
 
How much water are you drinking?. I find if I don't drink enough I sometimes feel a bit light headed, mostly when standing up quickly, bending over etc. And thats after nearly 5 weeks (wow can't believe I've not ate in 5weeks:eek:). But as soon as I drink a litre of water I feel fine. This was especially true in the first 4 days I spent virtually all of them on the couch feeling sorry for myself:).
 
oh no sorry to hear you fainted again hope you are ok
definately go to the docs and get his/her opinion, maybe LT is not for you but im sure you will find another diet to suit you

Yeah def get checked out hun, youre health def should come first! Maybe the others are right and you didnt have enough water and yeah maybe splitting the packs would help, i found that really helpful. Good luck xx
 
First priority has got to be to see your GP.

Assuming all is well, I would try, Cambridge Diet, but start on the 1000 cal, or you could try a diet called Vitaline. (Google it). This does work, but it didn't work for me cos I got fed up thinking of what to have to eat (which is why I prefer CD or LT). Personally I need a complete break from food. But with Vitaline, you are constantly having tiny pieces of food all day (I mean tiny!).

hey everyone been to the docs, had bloods taken, for wee investigation oh joy!

thanx for the concern, i drank 4.5ltrs and had already split me shakes, as the fainting was out the blue again (didnt know it had even happened till i woke up on the floor) the doc called Lt direct to ask for advice and they confirmed i was doing everything right that when they decided to do bloods.

doc said it could be a glucose dip and possible lactose intolerance???? but will see how it goes, but i was ok on 2 shakes and a meal so i dont think its lactose intolerance.

i gonna just keep to 2 shakes and lowcal/low carb meal before 7pm, that is what has ben agreed all round as best idea till bloods back.... sorry for the novel, but thanx for the consideration x x x x

Oh go on! Admit it! It is the closet drinking of the gin and vodka that is doing it! It's not water that you have in that bottle!!!!!! LOL!

I know you were so excited about starting LT, it is such a shame that this has happened to you.

It seems unusual as you are fainting after just 1 day, but you would think 1 day of complete fasting would not make someone faint. Do you faint easily?? Or is this the first time?

It doesnt sound like your body is reacting to LT in a way - or maybe it is something else and this is a coincidence?

Probably best to leave LT and see if you faint again without it? Then you will know if it is LT or not.

I have been watching what i been eating had 1 shake then 2 lo meals, find ing hard to stop eating wen ful but managed it. hey gaz i just ikle bit young for the weebles but get the jist of it.... and maybe i need to make up my own water, just incase my boy was spiking it with gin ( as it is my fav drink anyhows, so wouldnt have noticed the taste x)

So 2moz i going to go back to 2 shakes and small meal, my bloods will be back on tues so hopefully everthing is coolio x

Great to hear that you are well! Think you are taking the sensible route... just take it slowly and if you get used to eating less at meal times and replacing some meals with shakes then you are bound to have a steady weight loss... you may even be able to try LT again once you feel you have got used to your new plan.

Keep posting and stay focused on your goals, dont give up, you will get there, one way or the other!!!

thanx julz although i do feel like a bit of a fraud posting !, so prob just read not reply much for the next week, till i in the zone, LT have said i might still go into ketosis as long as i keep my carb intake really low and keep water around 4litres x

good luck i find your posts really motivational. I'll check in again in around a week or so let you all know how im doing....take care x
 
hey! dont feel like a fraud! ur not on LT for health reasons, not because of lack of discipline!! I really hope it all works out for you and u get in ketosis...

I think u maybe more of a cheeky monkey than a chunky monkey! ;)
