day 17... Forgive me for saying...

I have been on CDC SS+ for 17 days now and first week I jumped on the scales most mornings and the weight was falling off, week two! Nothing, very slow and the scales didn't move as quickly.
On the CDC scales I had lost 8 pound which is brilliant I know :)

However this week as inspiration I use the scales infrequently to gage how well I am doing and again... Nothing... . I just seem to lose a pound, nothing more.

I have 3rd weigh in on Monday and I just feel so deflated with it all, I am being so strong and I never realised just how much will power I have but it just feels so slow. I look at others on the site and weight loss looks fantastic! I am so overwhelmed with the mass of weight loss, but me, I'd be lucky with another pound gone this week.

I would be lying if I didn't say I notice the difference in clothes, I'm more 16 than previously 18 and this proves its working, but the scales are saying another story.

I don't know if it is a week 3 thing. I didn't lose any weight in week 3 of ss+ despite sticking 100% My CDC suggested I go back to ss this week, and since Monday my scales show 3lbs down.
Hope you get through this blip - it can be a real pain but so worth the effort in the end.
Good luck
Ceri
ps my weigh in similar to yours week 1 -7lbs, week 2 -2lbs , week 3 STS.

You might not be loosing on the scales but you may be loosing inches. Some weeks wont be as good as others. keep going your doing fab :)

hahaha I just replied to another almost the same on another message from Stush! Great minds.

may I ask if you have a lot of weight to lose? I have 3.7 to lose and I was a bit naive to think the weight would drop off each week considering I had gone from about 2500 calories a day to 640 but obviously not the case.

I use to lose more when I ate salads for lunch and soup in the evenign (when I would diet for special occasions) it doesn't seem very far :)

Hi Becky, you are a godsend! Your posts are always so positive :)

I took measurements today, I actually gained on inch on my waist, how, why, when - I am confused. I am wearing trousers a few weeks back were tight, they look like clown pants and so embrassed, i am running out of things to wear as 18's are big and 16's fit but I am still worried it may look all a bit spray on - hahaha

Thanks dancing, I have to admit I wont throw in the towel until i have definately complete a month and gage the loss, its interesting how some people just appear to lose a pound, stay the same weight when we are all being so good.. Perhaps you can gain weight through guilty thoughts, I walked past loads of restaurants, zizzi's, pizza Express and I watched as people were cutting into those pizza's and I was thinking "crikey, I wish that was me right now"

Did the diet last year -started at 12st8lbs, lost 2st 4lbs. After Christmas and a new job put on 1st 2lbs so restarted nearly 4 weeks ago at 11st 6lbs. Have lost 9lbs so I'm now 10st 12lbs (although scales are showing loss this week am doesn't count til weigh in!)
Need to lose between a stone and a stone and a half.(Didn't quite reach goal last time!)
Sorry if it is long winded, just thought I'd give you a brief outline!

Thanks Ceri, 10.12lbs is still great, I can't remember the last time I was under 12 stone, I think about 2003!

For two years I could never get below 12.7 and then whoosh! I shot up another stone in a year.. the clothes I wear now are the ones I was in august last year so I feel I have a huge mountain to climb.

I kept some of my nicer clothes as inspiration to lose weight but never got below that 12.7 mark and now... My scales show 12.9 but still a way off from getting back into those nicer items... I just hope at weigh in I will be more 12.8 then 12.11..

It's not a huge mountain, you'll be there in no time.
I know how it feels to think that you will never be slim, and for me when I did get down to my lowest weight in years I still felt fat. I think that we need to change our mindset as well as our eating habits.
Stick at it - even when the weight doesn't come off as fast as we'd like or even at all, it has to be better than putting weight back on and throwing in the towel.
I just keep thinking - what is a couple of months out of a lifetime?
Keep at it.
