When you get to goal

Think thin
Hi folks

Not posted for a week or so as I went off the rails and totally lost the plot food wise! I am now back on track, well day 2 and so far so good.
Anyway I am determined to get to goal at some point in the future (hopefully by end of September :sigh:) and have been thinking about what I can do to help me maintain my weight. My OH does not have a massive appetite - if he has say pie, chips & veg - he asks for 6/7 chips and no more! Whereas I feel I need a right big handful . I am therefore thinking when I get to goal I will have the same size portions as him! I did think about getting some portion control pots from Rosemary Conley but not so sure. I def need smaller dinner plates!

Smaller plates will work and I think you goal is very achievable. How much water are you drinking a day.

great idea side plates all the way when this is all over lol

Hiya Bren
As I fell off the wagon for a week and only got back on yesterday, I am really struggling with water at the moment. I was up to 6/7 pints a day. Yesterday I only managed a couple of pints and today I am only on my 3rd pint! I know that is way below what I should be drinking but I think it will be more tomorrow when I have digested and got rid of what is lurking in my body! (apologies if TMI lol)

Hmmm side plates - I am thinking now OMG I won't get enough food! Why is that? Anyone else have these not exactly panic attacks but real concerns?

Minnie I try to drink big glass of water 5 mins before I eat and I dont start arranging more food on my fork until I have finished and swallowed what is in my mouth. Also half way through stop and drink a little more water.

Hope this helps.

Paul McKenna goes on about eating really really slowly, and putting down the knife and fork between each mouthfulls!

Big dinner plates is what got us all in the state! I put far too much food on everyones plate. Our parents gave us much smaller portions which were followed by pudding. We very seldom eat puddings in our house but if i do fruit salad or something simple the kids love it but my fave from long ago was sponge and custard or apple pie and ice cream. I'm def going to use side plates for me and really watch the portion sizes for everyone else. Should probably start meal with a small bowl of healthy homemade soup so not as hungry for main course.
