New To Calorie Counting

Hi, I have done SW and WW but got too obsessed with it, so am waiting for my Collins calorie counting book to arrive.
Hopefully I won't get obsessed like I do on a set plan, although the others are still calorie counting really I suppose, but this way I won't get obsessed with points or worrying what to eat on green or red days.

So after that bit of life story, lol, hi everyone:)

Hello Coco

And welcome:wave_cry:

Hi CoCo, welcome to the mad (& yes...obsessive) world of calorie counting! I too got bogged down with the points value of everything- but what really scuppered my loss efforts was eating bucketloads of 'Free' foods- that aren't really free! Okay, they may be low-cal, but they still have SOME cals! LOL!

Welcome CoCo!

Rather than using a book, an easier way is to join a site like Weight Loss Resource or Nutracheck, it does your adding up for you :)

I've calorie counted in the past and i'ts very effective. I lost 8 kilos in 7 weeks. Did the gym 4 times a week for an hour and limited myself to meals/snacks every 2 hours or so to speed up my metabolism and chose what I wanted for the day any where between 1000 - 1100 calories a day.

You'll be fine and can't wait to hear about you loss's.

Hiya, I am new to calorie counting too, planning to start in the morning, have been doing WW for a solid 6wks so taking today off, hope I dont gain too much

Good luck, I am using the Calorie, Carb & Fat bible & a note book, working around 1300-1400 cals per day.
