Not enjoying tea and coffee

Hi everyone,

I am in my second week on LT, lost 7lbs last week. I generally love tea and coffee when not on the diet, and drink loads of each everyday. However since been on the diet the taste of tea and coffee has changed, and it is not so enjoyable. I dont enjoy a cup of tea or coffee like I did before, does this change over the weeks?:sigh:

Thanks, and by the way you are all inspirational I love coming on this site, it keeps me going.

Hi hun i totally went off tea(never drank coffee) And now im off LT im still pretty much off tea! Im glad though to be honest, cutting down caffeine cant be can it? xx

Hi there,

I lost 7 pounds in my first week also! I am starting week 2 tomorrow... My coffee tastes different as I used to take milk in it - but i am finding the black coffee just fine... so fine that I have had to cut it down a bit as I was drinking too much i think!

Hope u get to like ur tea again... cant beat a wee tea or coffee!

you will find your taste and smell will change some what over the time on LT.

I used to not be able to function without a couple cups of STRONG coffee, not fussed now - well into green tea And loads of water of course...

That said I'm tucking into the fags again with gusto...

I used to love milky tea and drank loads of it. I can't stand black tea but I'm enjoying my coffee black. It's a nice change from water, water, water and more water! Lol!

I went off tea too but I found it was too strong without milk so I just dunked the tea bag in the water a couple of times so it wasnt as strong and it was lovely.

Have you tried adding a bit of the vanilla shake to the coffee, its nice hun

Thanks for your replies. I do not like the vanilla shakes, and the pharmacist told me to put them in coffee, so I made up a vanilla shake with coffee. I was ghastly the closest thing to baby milk.
Perhaps if I just put a little in a vanilla shake in the coffee, it would be better. Thanks for your help.
