What would you all do

My son is 10 on sunday and has asked to go for a chinese meal on sunday night.
I am now wondering whether to just eat rice and be saintly or whether one night off can cause so much harm.
I have about 7 stone to lose so it is going to be a long slog so maybe the odd night off is OK but I am scared that if I go wild one night it will turn into 3 or 4 days off.
The place we go to is a buffet but they cook the meals to order and fresh - but you can have as much of any dish as you like

i personally would think hey its my sons birthday so i am not going to stress over t however i would defo go green and make sensible choices stir fryed veg and noodles rice etc..but once you are there if the temptation is too much dont worry enjoy your night as long as the next day you stay on track also keep some syns aside but failing that be "sensible" most importantly enjoy yourself with your famly life is to short to not have a good time on your sons birthday but you do want to lose weight for you so like i said try to be good!!! one night off wont hurt though as long as you have the strength to get back on track the next day :) ENJOY YOURSELF!! X

Night off. Without a doubt! As you said, you have a long journey ahead of you so what is one night in that journey? This is a lifestyle not a restrictive diet. You still have to enjoy your life

Have a friggin night off! I have a chicken chow mane when stuck, its 6 syns and 1 healthy ex B

well personally i would stick to the diet and do green up until you go out and just be sensible, of course enjoy yourself but you will know yourself what will be ok and what would be 'bad' to have. if i was in your position i would 'fill up' on rice but still enjoy myself

have a night off but dont go mad, Chinese is one of the 'best' takeways you can have really. go Green, have boiled rice and something light, maybe chicken. look through your book before you go at the chinese resturant section and work out what syns you are likely to have and try to stick to your choices.

have fun :)

I agree totally with what the others have said. Just enjoy yourself and then make sure you're back on track on Monday. Like abigail said go green before hand. have fun xxx

Thanks guys - will go green and try be sensible (no deep fried stuff for example) and save syns from now til then and for a couple of days after - dont want to sabotage team 3 (FBI) by gaining weight

go green and pick meals that are vegetable based.... if i have chinese i will have mushroom or vegetable chow mein. you can count this within your sins limit, so don't fret! if you want to stick to it you can and if you don't then flexi-sin!!!
