Weight to Go

Hi
I have just taken the plunge again....
I lost 7 stone last year on CD and since Dec I've put on over 3 stone, now want to lose 66lb to reach goal. I've been really struggling with CD, but wanted the fast weight loss, but have finally descided enough... going to go the slow but steady road...
I did try this in Jan and wish I'd stuck to it as I was 12stone then, I'm 13 and a half now.....
Looking forward to getting started...
Does anyone know how I can change my starting weight and reset my points allowance etc.. I'm keen to do this.
The other question is if I'm 100 on the plan how long... do you think it will take me... I have a wardrobe full of clothes I can't get in and about 7 things that fit me.... I need to get back into my slim clothes.
The other thing is in a way I feel like I'm giving up and I want some one to tell me that , no I'm not.... and yes I can be slim on another diet, other than CD...
Thanks for reading.

Also in need of some feel good foods which don't bog you down, after eating crap every other day for the last 4 months, my body is really cross with me and I look and feel like Mrs Blobby after a 10 course meal most of the time.

I really want to go down this road, just need some reasurance than my fat arse will go on this diet, just like it did on the CD.....

good luck hun :)

Hi
Thanks Daisy....
I'm looking forward to doing it, really looking forward, feel I shall cheat with ready meals a bit, whilst I am so busy, but eating guilt free will be lovely.
I am so worried about not losing it though, I kind of have it in my mind that I'll lose weight but not where I want to, or not lose any at all.

Fingers Crossed....

you will be fine cos you are determined :)

Hi
Thanks Carol...... can I SHOUT now.....

Would love to hear weight watchers stories from other people. It is about 3 years since I did a did for long that wasn't VLCD, and could really do with a few story to keep me going...

And why are you worried honey.?

You can shout whenever you like :)

I did CD for 2 weeks, but the shakes made me really sick, so I had to stop the diet. I've been messing around with my diet for the last few months, but have been back on track for 5 days this time, because I need to succeed.

I'm worried, because food has such control over me. When I'm happy I eat, when I'm sad I eat, when I want comfort I eat. I can't win really lol

My wedding is just over 6 months away, so I really need to lose between 2-3 stone before October, for my dress fitting. I also want to lose a big chunk of weight to buy honeymoon clothes!

We're around the same weight, so we can be diet buddies if you like. WW definately works, as you can see if you read Starlights diary, she is a true inspiration.

What are your food weaknesses? Lets see if we can find some low point alternatives.

xx

Hi

LOL, my god you sound like me...
I love eating, when I'm sad, happy, busy, bored..... awake really.
What I really want to do is to stop eating food that makes me tired, bloated, moody, etc... I don't mean stop altogether, just have them a little.... here and there not every day.
I want to use my points on lots of really healthy feel good food, but don't really know where to start.

Wow a wedding, I was the same as you when I got married... I didn't buy my Honeymoon clothes until about 5 weeks before we went, which wasn't easy as we got married in Jan....

I think I should be fine on WW, CD is great, I lost nearly 7stone on it last year and but Ive put half of that on, most since Xmas as I just went awol...... binge after binge after binge.... so whilst I am sad, I have had to move on a bit and I know that WW is the way to go for me.

Perhaps that thought could help, WW is food, CD isn't, at least you can eat now, where as on CD you couldn't on the SS.

What kind of weight loss do you get on WW and what points do you have?

Hi Chitty, just wanted to say Hi and Good Luck. I've been trying to do CD too and decided enough was enough. I just couldn't stick to it. You did really well and you're doing well now getting back onto a weight loss plan before you put it all back on. It's so easy done.

I'm on my 1st week too so fingers crossed for both of us! xxx

My first thought when you say that you don't want to be bloated is not to eat too much bread and potatoes. Don't cut them out all together, but swap them for couscous, sweet potato, rice cakes and wholemeal pitta bread. Bread makes me really bloated, but I love it!!

I have a really sweet tooth, and find that having WW biscuits in the cupboard is a good thing, stops me from raiding the fridge and cupboards for really unhealthy food.

WW ready meals are a great thing to keep in the freezer in time of emergency, or like me, when you feel to lazy to cook.

You've done brilliantly to lose on CD, keep motivated, and you'll succeed.

xx

P.s I sound like I'm preaching, but I promise I'm not. Just wish I could listen to my own advice lol.

Thanks Tiara
CD Suited me last year, but it has taken me all of this year and a lot of heart ache to realize I need to move on. I need to lose 3 stone to get in my clothes, 4 stone to get into all of them and 66lb ish to reach goal.

Fingers crossed for you... I'm doing WW online, don't have time to go to meetings and I'm never very good with them any way. I did CD only seeing my CDC once every 4 weeks and it suited me... Now we have these forums, all the help is just a few minutes aways.

Come back and let me know how you are getting on.

No you are not preaching, you should read some of the post I have sent before...

I enjoy rice and pitta etc, so will try and only have very little bread and pick more healthy carbs.
I love cooking but just feel I have so much on my plate right now, I can't get organized to make everything from scratch...
I think we will be having lots of Salads, fish, chicken breasts and rice dishes.
Not really bothered about puddings or chocolates as they are what I really want to swap in my diet..... want to be happy with yog or fruit for puddings and have the others for weekend treats every so often.
It is good you have found something to keep you on the straight and narrow... I'm going to have a picky box in the fridge with cucumber sticks, spring Onions and my fav raw veg in, for with the munchies come... I love raw runner beans and sugar snap peas...... and white cabbage..
I have no need to be overweight as I love the good stuff, just need to tell my brain that...

LOL, It's funny really, we both know what to eat, and what to do, so why are we not practising the good habits?

We'll get there, just need to stay focused. Having a fridge full of healthy munchies is a really good idea. I will have to try that, because I love carrot sticks etc.

It's been great talking to you, you have made me feel very positive :D. Off to make dinner now.

Speak soon

Hey Chitty, just wanted to say hi! I'm new to this too- only my second weigh-in on Tuesday. I don't go to classes either, just doing this myself with the help of the forum and weighing myself on a Tuesday whether I want to or not (I do not) ;)
So it sounds to me like you have a great basis to lose weight, you like healthy foods, you're not nuts about puddings and you are determined! So if you just need affirmation as to whether this will work, this is it! IT WILL...provided you stick to it!
Check out Starlight- she has lost a whole ME already (150+ lbs).
You like healthy foods, my favourite ww meal is the chicken curry...I bulk it out with lettuce and some soya lecithin or flaxseeds. It tastes decadent and curryish when it's all mixed up but I know it's healthy and not a lot of points for a main meal! And it doesn't bloat me up! And I make up wraps for lunch with lots of lettuce and a can of ww tuna and sweetcorn or one of the others! All v healthy and v low in points! Best of all is breakfast- Oatso Simple with blueberries- delicious and only 1.5 to 2 points! Oats are also so good for your blood sugar and for your moods :) What's not to like!
The main message from my ramblings is you can do this, don't give yourself an excuse not to try before you've given yourself a shot! You can make this diet work for you, make your points work for you and most of these meals can be prepared in very little time! x Best of luck!!!

let me know if you find out!

I know what you mean.... my hubby thinks If it's regarding diets etc and I don't know then it isn't worth knowing... ,
I don't know much about the 'super foods', the ones that give you clearer heads, more energy, etc etc etc.......

And hey, pleased I've made you feel positive, thats made my night.

Well off to put my feet up and look through my WW books, I have nothing in really, so will have to go shopping tomorrow..

Keep me posted as to how you are doing, :love047:, just think Wedding Dress..... you will be so pleased you took the step and lost some weight.

Wow thanks that is really so really good info.... I've never tried flaxseeds, tell me more about them please if you have a minute. I don't like curry at all......, would be a very slim jim if that is all we had.... But you are right the WW meals are nice and bulked up with free foods, great...

Will be trying Oats for breakfast, just need to buy some.:)

I'm going to be weighing myself tomorrow I think it will be around 13stone 7lb, any more and I will be in tears.......

I am excited about it, and I feel so much better having finally made the choice.... I couldn't go on binge eating, SSing for a day or two and so on......

Keep me posted, I'm very keen to see how other WW are doing.
