Chewing Gum

Hi,
really strange question??

I`ve started eating alot of chewing gum, and noticed that in 100g there is around 155 calories in my brand...
Are these calories in the gum itself, that you dont eat?
Or are they in the juices that you do, if so how do you work out 100g?

The whole thing is confusing me? Not sure if i`m just being stupid..lol

Ermmmm!
I would guess the calories are in the juices/sugar coating which you do consume. Although I would expect the calories in each stick/piece would only be 10-20 cals max. You'd probably find the activity of chewing the gum burns the calories in it assuming you chew it for a while. I don't chew a lot of gum but when I do, I get sugarfree and chew it for ages.

You could look on the packs and choose the one with the least calories although unless you are really having a large amount of it I wouldn't expect it will show with your losses.
