Would you consider having Hypnotherapy to help with weight loss

I was just watching a program on telly and this woman was hypnotised to help her aid weight loss. I was just wondering if any of you would do this or what do you think about it. I think I would do it if I could afford it.
:)

a friend of mine got hypno'd to quit smoking but he came out of the session really hyper! it was funny but he's never smoked from that moment on. his GP recommended the therapist, but he had to pay about £90, although if it doesn't work you can keep going back for free to be done again.

i'd give it a go but just never thought about it seriously.

Yep i am open to any option that may work lol if money was no object. Cant see why not i dont think it can harm and it may work xxxx

I tried it but fell asleep so it obviously didn't work! Hmmmmm I've tried most things really, but eating less & doing more is the key & if hypnotherapy helps then go for it!

Yes!!!

i have been hypnotised to aid weight loss twice by 2 diffrent therapists. both times i came out feeling really positive and ready to take on the world but both times these feelings lasted about a week and then nothing and back to eating 'badly'. one of them ever gave me a CD to listen to, to increase the hypnotic power of the suggestions she had placed in my subconsious.....nothing!

i was very very disappointed as really wanted it to work, but didnt for me im afraid,

i have also had a session of 'tapping' but that didnt work either.

seems the sugar additiction is just part of my life

i had hypnosis about 12 years ago it made me stop eating chocolate for just over a year. Then one day just fanced some & that was it.Ive got Paul Mackenna but it didnt work for me.I do think it works well for some though.

Ohh I wonder if it would make me stop craving naughty foods. I would do fab if it were not for take away and crisps cravings.

It isn't a quick fix, and does take some work. I went to a dr on Harley St and it was really good however v v expensive, so I couldn't afford to keep up with it.

After a session I always felt really great and really upbeat and full of energy

hmmm - yeah I guess I would go, never really thought about it seriously though. But would need to explain to the therapist that I do SW and therefore I can eat loads but just of certain things, wouldn't want them brainwashing me into thinking I could only eat limited amounts hehe!! xxx
