Hello, New Slimfast Starter

Hi,
I`m starting on the slimfast diet tomorrow.....Monday 19/05.
Ordered 2 months worth of supplies from boots online ( buy 2 get 1 free deal), hoping it will be here by tuesday, i have 2 days worth in my fridge.

Unless there`s another way of doing this, i want to use this post as my personal account of my diet.

I will be weighing my self on mon/weds & fri.
Have got the wiifit, so until i feel comfortable with going outside to exercise, will be doing 30 mins a day on that.

I now weigh 13.8 stone, and would like to get to at least 11 stone by christmas.
I`m hoping by joining in on forums etc..i can get some motivation to sick to my diet at last.

Good luck on SF, there is a lot of support on this site, i hope you get to where you want to be.
Ive got the wii fit too , great isnt it, i try to do 30mins to an hr a day but sometimes my working pattern doesnt allow it.
I look forward to seeing how you get on.

I have been looking through the site, it`s great to hear other people doing well, love the before and after pictures. Think i`m going to take some beofre pics and put them up in food cupboards.

Did feel like a snack mid morning, but was at work & thought it best to go with out rather than eat something naughty.

If you feel like a snack you should have one. This diet isn't about depriving yourself (I never do!!!). You could take fruit or a healthy snack to work with you so you're not tempted by naughty things

My SF supplies came today so will start having 1 for breakfast too.

I`ve bought a maximuscle bottle to mix the shakes up with, does anybody else use something like this.... or should i use the blender? Thanks
 
I use an electric whisk/blender thing which works great. No nasty lumps or anything. Don't know about the bottle but if it works for you then great.

i also use a electric blender, otherwise they taste really powdery.

Weigh myself this morning and had lost 2lb already.
Been reading up on cambridge diet, has anybody done it, wondering how much better it is than sf ?

Feel a bit headachy today, is this usual?

I never feel headachy but I know people do sometimes when they haven't drunk enough water so increase your fluids and it will probably go away.

I haven't done CD. There are quite a few differences between the two diets. It is more expensive but you do tend to lose more. I think people on CD start out on ss so only have shakes and no food or snacks but I may be wrong there. From what I've read CD concentrates around ketosis which isn't an aspect of SF. If you have a lot of questions about CD you could try a post in their threads because there are quite a few CDCs about who can help.

Hi Buffydog

I did CD and lost 3 stone quite easily, it is VERY different to SF though, it is very extreme but it DOES work but can be very hard going. It is virtually impossible to have a social life as you can't drink alcohol and only a tiny amount of food unless you are completely Sole Sourcing and then you have nothing but the shakes or bars.

Give SF a try first as most people only go onto CD when they are really desperate, I know I was as nothing else worked for me as I needed very strict discipline and enjoyed not being allowed to eat food. When I got to the point where i had to start eating again I struggled like mad with control.

Good luck with SF for now anyway :D

Off for a bike ride now, to try and get rid of naan bread.
 
Very strange, haven`t felt hungry at any point today, also haven`t been to toilet yet......will be taking senakot tonight,
Is this normal??

i noticed its quite high fibre what your having, and SF is VERY high fibre, in my first week it took me 5 days to pass normally on the toilet but i lost 6lbs! bear with it, your body will adjust!if your not used to high fibre i recommend some coffee lol, although senokot works well but is more expensive!

don't forget, if your constipated your holding a few lbs of weight there lol, easily 2-3lbs.
 
weighed this morning and have gained 1lb, :(
yesturday i had 2 senakot max strength, 1 before bed sat night and 1 sun morning, and still hardly nothing..........hoping this is the reason for weight gain, will try another later 2day.
