hi everyone,

what keeps you motivated?

I like to break down my weight loss into small targets so I am constantly hitting them and the end result doesn't seem so far away. Going down the sizes of clothes is probably the best motivator and people's lovely comments. Doesn't stop the doubting moments though where could jack it all in. Just have to think how far I've come

Ohhh loads of things
I'm a bit of a target/goal addict so like to come up with loads so that I'm very often 'hitting goal' in some way
The way I feel
The difference in my face in the mirror
The way my hubby gropes my firmer backside
Knowing how my family feel about my weightloss and how they're happy to see me so much healthier
People noticing - especially those who haven't seen me for a while --- had a lot of that this week through working somewhere different and it's been great
Going down in clothes sizes - clothes getting too big/fitting into smaller things

Yep - I'm motivated :D

I just found I reached a point where I wanted the weight gone- I just had enough. I have a suitcase in the spare room with my old clothes in it... that keeps me motivated cos I want to be in them- then the tracksuits will be binned LOL

I do find that this forum is a great motivation source aswell really helps to keep u focused. So well done contributors !!

LOL - well mentioned Paris ---- I get loads of motivation from here, from reading other peoples posts, sharing their journeys with them and from the support they give me ...... you're bloody good you lot are xx

For me its .....if i gave up smoking (8 weeks) then this is possible to (i hope ) lol

Sheep - it is the same mental process - sort out your mind, and the addiction/dependence has to follow! Well done on quitting smoking!

I managed to stop 8 years or so ago after many failed attempts and once I had made the decicion to not smoke again, it was fairly easy - just like this diet really.

Good Luck!

I seem to give things up when my body overloads!!! I gave up smoking after 2 bouts in hospital with asthma 8 years ago and I've gone on LL this time when I was in hospital last year with suspected heart failure!! (It wasn't thank god!!) That frightened me!!!
