Tan...did you not get a refeed leaflet ?

no hun my chemist gave me nothing

how long do you want to stay off it for?

am,,that day,,lol,,i know it's not recomended

All i would say then if you are going to do it is stick to low fat low carb food...chicken, green veg, fish etc and still drink loadsa water. but it will affect your loss hun x the scales might go up or sts and then will take you 3 days again to get back in to keotosis...like starting from scratch! will have all the cravings and side effects again xx

Tanya you are NOT having a drink period! Get a bloody grip I will proper kick your arse. Now get to bed and light off lady!

ive been told told that its safe to drink vodka and diet coke from a freind at work who has been on this LT before a couple of times no carbs at all!!!!, but only a few its not safe to have more than that as you will get hungry,if you not sure go on the water darl xxxx

Tan...if you drink in keotosis ...is not about the cals or carbs it the danger of being in keotosis hun... your liver can F**K up and you can die...i have the reason why somewhere and i will post it when i find it ... PLEASE dont drink in keotosis its not safe hun x **goes to find the reason**

You CAN NOT repeat CAN NOT drink on LT. X

I agree no drinking whatsoever hun!! x

DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL IF YOU ARE KETOTIC!
Alcohol is a powerful inhibitor of gluconeogenesis. In fact, it forces part of the gluconeogenic metabolic process into reverse. This means that if all the glucose in the blood is being derived from gluconeogenesis then the consumption of alcohol will inevitably cause the blood glucose level to fall. Worse still, the alcohol also stops ketone body production, thus leaving the brain entirely without fuel.
A person who is ketotic is 100% reliant on gluconeogenesis to maintain adequate levels of glucose in the blood. If, under these circumstances alcohol is taken, the person will become disorientated and might lose consciousness, not just from the alcohol, but from low blood sugar. Needless to say, this could be very dangerous, and even fatal.
Alcohol does not have these effects if the glycogen stores in the liver are normal. Under these circumstances the blood glucose level in the blood is maintained by the breakdown of liver glycogen, a process that is not influenced by alcohol. If a person becomes confused under these circumstances it is due simply to the pharmacological effects of the alcohol!
