Bought some bouillion yesterday and I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was! Its much nicer than the savoury soups.

Am sooo pleased!

Anyone know whats the limit to number of cups per day on SS please??

Ooooohhhh I didn't know you could have that so I'll be interested to see the answer as well

I think they say no more than 2 teaspoons full a day as it's quite high in salt.

I have to say that without it I'd have REALLY struggled. It's delicious!

Hmmmm i've never tried it. What does it taste like?

When I did LL it was no more than 2 cups a day, and that was of their "official" savoury drink. Turned out it was exactly the same as Marigold bouillon, which, of course, was FAR cheaper!!!

What is marigold bouillion and where would I get it, in the soup aisle of the supermarket?

it is a swiss vegetable stock and can be found on the gravy aisle in supermarkets.
tastes a little like a concentrated vegetable stock, imagine oxo without the meat.
costs £1.22 at tesco and lasts ages.
can also be used on AAM week as a stock for cooking fish or chicken (yumm)

Oh i will definitely be looking for this in the supermarket tomorrow

thanks

Boullion is the best actually.................and i always forget about it!

Thanks for this tip, its def on my next shopping list

If you go for the one in the purple tub with the orange lid Marigold Vegan Vegetable Bouillon it is reduced salt. I have a couple of these a day and it really helps with the fluid intake.

Can I just say as well, as a Tesco shopper (I think they are all pretty much the same sort of layout) that it ISNT where you would expect to find it in the pasta/pasta sauce/ spices/ gravy aisle but can be found in the 'specialist product' aisle.

I believe that we cant have ANY type of bouillon (i bought a chicken one and was told it was off limits!) but the MARIGOLD type in the round tub. I hope that this is correct!

In my tesco (mine?? ha ha... it blinking well ought to be the amount i spend in there) it's in the weirdo product aisle with all the misfit items that don't seem to belong anywhere else!

Its delicious and a great 'treat'...

how strange mikki, wonder why they put it there.
it is on the gravy aisle in my 2 most local stores.
my hubby works in the uk's largest store where i usually shop but even in the smaller one it is in the same place, just after the gravy.
just as well really cause i never go down the specialist aisle as it is mainly polish delicacies in our store and i dont care much for things such as ' pigs fat in oil' lol not strictly a CD approved food im sure. lol
