General: Week starting Mon 31st July

Hi WeMITTs

Here's this weeks general thread. If we post this week's general chit-chat, moans, groans, triumphs, news etc on here then we can find stuff more easily because there won't be pages and pages to trawl through.

Question for you all: do we want a separate thread for weight losses or should we stick them on the general thread?

Morning WeMITT's

DEBBIE: Great idea for the weekly posts. I shall start one off off about the Nov meet I think. I think weight loss should be posted here as well makes it easier. Hardly anyone was sending weightlosses for the spreadsheet to Kamilla or me so it's been stopped for a while. Hope you are doing well....weight loss is fab by the way!

KAMILLA: Hey dancing buddy! How are you doing. Havent been around much as spending all of my spare time when not working revising. Hope you are ok and still enjoying 790. Cant wait for November.

Mrs TWEEDY: 10 stone. What can I say - you are a star and I do hope that you will be able to make the November meet. Hope your house move goes well - I am sure it will be a relief to move!

ROCH: Welcome back to the WeMITT's. You can do it this time and we are all here to help you whenever you need it.

SHARON: Hey <waves back frantically> loving your new pictures you will knock em dead in November!

Everyone else - HELLO!!!!! < waves frantically again>

Things are going ok for me. Still very busy but doing ok with CD. Seeing my lovely CDC Isobel tomorrow morning so looking forward to seeing those scales go down....crossing my fingers to see the 17's after my blip from AAM. I did not like AAM week at all and can see why many choose not to do it. I like SS!

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Debbie et al - and here's to a great new week.

Actually I could do with all the love and support going cos I'm one peed-off WeMITT this morning  . Despite sole sourcing to the letter all week (apart from a very small grilled tuna/green salad meal last night) .. just ONE measly pound off!! Grrrrrr!!!

My aim for the past 4 months has been to be 12 st 7 lbs by the time I go away this coming weekend .. and I'm just one lb off it now, but it would have been great to have got to less than that. The way I'm going I'll be lucky to even reach my target at all! :(

I know other people suffer from disappointing losses despite sticking to the plan, so at least I know I'm not alone. The thing I've found before when I've had my little breaks is that it seems to kick-start my metabolism and the following week I lose any few lbs I've put on and then some - so hopefully that'll happen again this time.

I suppose I'll just look at this hiccough as a little obstacle on the way to my destination - but I'll still get there .. even if it might take longer than I'd hoped  .

Have a great week, everyone!

Lots of love

Sharon xxxx

Sharon - dont worry about it. You are doing fabulously well, you look great and your inspiring so many other people. I think everyone is amazed that you manage to have your breaks and jump right back on track. I am sure you will have a big loss next time and you will lose that last pound before you go.

Sharon...that 1lb will be off in no time! OMG girl I'd love to be in the 12's I'd be so so happy! :) Instead I'm plodding along! I really want to come to the Birmingham meet but with 52lbs + to lose yet I need to get a move on or there will be no uniform for me I'll have to go as the school matron!!

Debbie...as ever to inspire me with your amazing positive attitude!

Texasgirl...good to see you back. Must catch up very soon.

Will update all my news later....when I can think of some LOL!!

Apologies in advance to those of a nervous/squeamish disposition

A couple of wees and a poo!? With the amount of bodily fluid/waste I've been losing recently I dread to think what I'd weigh with that lot still inside me *giggles*

No-one's more amazed than me, honey! *lol* I suppose it's just because I'm one stubborn moo who's heard "I told you so!" far too many times in the past :)

P. S Only a massive weight gain or no loss at all would keep me from a night at Flares! It was such a blast!!!

Hi everyone
I'm just back from taking the dog to the 'poof parlour' as we call it. She's a cavalier king charles spaniel crossed with a miniature German schnauzer (think of a cat-sized hairy mop on legs and you've got a pretty close likeness!). She gets an all over clip at least once a year to make her more comfortable in the hot weather.

I always laugh when I pick her up though - she now looks like a skinny little whippet with an oversized fluffy head! Poor thing has to endure everyone laughing at her for a few days until we all get used to the 'new look'!! :D

I was feeling a bit cheesed off yesterday - just generally bored and down about the diet but after being able to jump off the promenade onto the beach last night AND jog along the sand for about 25 yards I feel rejuventated!

I had a cranberry crunch bar for lunch today in the Asda restaurant with a cup of coffee - YUM ... but boy do those things take some chewing!! :D The bloke on the next table polished off a full sized meal AND a pudding in the time it took me to chow my way through 3/4 of the bar! No bad thing I suppose :)

It's a bit breezy down here on the coast today ... bit too cold for no coat but too warm for a jacket. Anyway, I've got this very thin size 18 jacket bought from Evans yonks ago to shrink into the LAST time I dieted (and didn't get below 15st 2lb). I tried it on today and hey presto! An easy comfortable fit! That's NOT to say I'm a size 18 .... I just fit into THAT size 18! :D

Anyway - catch you all later!

"Holding onto that dream!"

Hi all
I've just got back from the beach having taken my youngest Sophie (10) and my 2 nieces kite flying. It was VERY windy and we had a laugh running around after crashed kites: one ultimately broke under the strain!

There were a lot of windsurfers and kite-surfers out doing amazing stunts ... a fantastic spectacle.

I took my dog for a circuit of a field whilst I was there and decided to have a sneaky little jog ... oh dear!! I've discovered that I'm going to have to do some serious bladder strengthening exercises before October or invest in some 'Tena Lady' on the day (or both)!! I never realised my poor bladder couldn't cope with stress before!

Waaaaah!! I'm getting old!! :(

They look like something that should be for sale in Ann Summers! Do these things really work? I'm going to have to do something because I looked at the reasons for stress incontinence and four out of the eight apply to me!! :(

"There are numerous different reasons for the weakening of the pelvic floor. These include pregnancy and childbirth, hysterectomy, menopause, smoking, obesity, diabetes or back injuries."

I'm OK with coughing & sneezing but I didn't realise that running would have this effect ... but then I haven't run since 1985 and I've had 2 more children and gained 11st in that time! Thank goodness nearly 8st of that has gone but it's obviously left 'that area' somewhat weak!

My poor body has taken such a battering over the years!!

Debbie x

If it's any consolation my Mum swears by Tena's. Having twins does that to you! Never been the same since! Hiccoughs, laughing you name it! Not so good.

Hopefully exercises will help.

All quiet here, trying to plough on with essay but work is picking up so harder to get Spanish done there. Have got my new car taxed which is great, was stressing as I think someone at home recycled my new Ins. cert. along with the old one & it ran out today, got V5 on Sat so all sorted before tax ran out luckily. Got replacement insurance through post today so all set.

Starting SS next weekend as a last push to get to 10 stone or less, have gained the last 3 weeks at WW, another 2lbs this week! Oh dear! Only 3.5lbs over 3 weeks but still not the right direction... serves me right for eating out so much my birthday week!

Hope everyone is doing great!
Well done on finishing your essay Sharon! Love

Hi guys, this is gonna be just a brief message as I have just spent twenty mins typing out individual messages to the wemitts and hadn't realised I wasn't signed in and lost the blummin post haha typical mrs T!

Hope everyone is ok, and am thinking of you all - I am starting to really panic now about moving house (probably gonna happen this saturday) as I will be without an internet connection for approx 2 weeks  I just don't know what I am gonna do with myself without my daily dose of wemitt chat!

Hohum, I suppose I will have to cross that hurdle when I come to it, check you all later xx

Yeah - they do really work - can't exactly do it on the bus, like you can the ol' Kegel exercises, but it's very effective in toning up your pelvic floor!

Morning ladies, well hows u !!
I am seriously annoyed,pi-sed off,upset and feel that i am a failure.
Did day 1 was feeling a bit crappy and as well as the normal hungry symptons was feeling dizzy but ignored it.
Yesterday afternoon had an appointment with my GP as she wanted to follow up on a whole load of blood tests i had and she retook my bloods and pricked my finger and tested for diabetes and was very worried when my blood sugars read 3.2,have had this prob b4 when i was pregnant but i am not pregnant now so she was very worried.
She said that was a very low reading and is worried that i am now diabetic, and sent me up to the hospital yesterday for some more tests.
She has told me that for the momment i cant sole source at all and have to follow a very strict diet which she has given me a diabetic diet sheet.
I feel gutted, upset and annoyed as i dont think i can cope on a normal diet as food is such an issue for me,it is my best friend and my enemy.
I am worried especially as i was sick last week and ended up at the hopital when i collapsed, but then what do i expect i weigh 27 stone, dont know why i think that i wont catch up with me eventually.
Have decided to go for the momment to slimming world and get weighed each week but just follow the diabetic diet sheet which is just a very low gi diet as i have to do something,i feel like i dont know which way 2 turn and know that i only have myself to blame for any health probs i have.
Chat later and thanks
