I have now reached my goal weight 1, so I now have joined a gym and am now going to tone up a bit. i am also going to set a new goal weight.

I am going to do an hour in the gym to start with then when i have got used it it, increase it to 2 hours, I am also going swimming on a tuesday with my kids and then to a ladies only swim on thursday. to begin with do you think this is too much?

I Think Your Body Will Let You Know If Its Too Much For You,but I Dont Think So.congrats On Reaching Your Goal Weight And Good Look With Your New Regime,

I think it is great joining the gym and working out and I think allow yourself to find your own level what makes you feel comfortable...better do go regular, than over do it and then not want to go at all.

You will be the best judge of what suits you and your life style.

Well done on achieving your goal weight that is fantastic!!!

I am new tonight, just having a browse as i have been trying to lose weight for the past month. Just eating healthy and going to the gym. I weigh 13st but over the past month havent lost a pound! I am a bit confused as i go to the gym 4-5 times a week, but dont over do weights and try and keep to cardio for weight loss. Can anyone help? Do i need to do something else? I would just like to lose a stone to get down to a safe BMI

I have been going to the gym for about 2 weeks, 3 times a week and i also swim once a week as well. I have lost around 6lbs in that time, which i am really chuffed with.

SJField1 i am sorry i cant answer your question, but hope someone will be able to help you out and answer it for you. keep at it i am sure you will get there.

Hi hun, dont despair, if you go to the gym that much then you wont see a loss in weight probably at all for the first few months. You are gaining muscle...but to loose true fat % it takes a long time...so there is an interim period where your excess fat is lying ontop of your muscle.

I hope that makes sense, dont give up, it will start to fall off real soon, my advice is, get a trainer to measure your fat body percentage and total body water etc, along with your measurements which are vital.

It has took me over 2 years to loose just over 2 stone, with a combination of healthy eating and exercise at the gym. :character00115:...now i do 5-6 classes a week and gym floor work, you would think i should be lookin like kate moss...but trust me ...i dont and it annoys me (sorry if i speak out of turn) that people think just because your not stick thin that you are not fit!!

stick to it...carry on...it will be good in the end:clap:

Nessa...try it...your body will tell you when its too much...no pain no gain lol...good luck hun!:hug99:
