Monday Hour x Hour

I couldn't believe my eyes when I clicked on this morning to find we were deficient in an hour by hour thread so I thought I would remedy that.

I'm sore from all the furniture shifting and sorting out we've done this weekend and I also have a washing mountain to tackle.

Hope everyone has a good day and is a loser baby ;)

Hi Mrs P

I saw the same but got side tracked by an inbox full of stuff to do. Oh the joys of work.

Although I must say MrsP rather be at work than faced with a pile of laundry.

I have just planted out my strawberries and my tomatoes in hanging baskets, but have had to come in because my neighbours are having their gorgeous, HUGE, very old and beautiful oak tree taken down...not even cut back but cut down completely. I'm gutted...there is nothing wrong with it and it must have been there 100 years...

How sad Miss B - maybe they'll get subsidance now and their house will fall down

I dont know why but I feel really disapointed in myself today. I am only on day three but yesterday was such a bad day I was starving all day! Everytime I looked at the TV or a magazine there was food food FOOD so last night I tried to make my choc pack into a muffin thing like it says in the 'unofficial receipe' thread but now I feel really pathetic and weak - like Ive cheated or something.:sigh: I couldn't even manage 2 lousy days..........

I haven't cheated have I?

Hi Twinny

No you have not cheated a choc muffin is just fine. The only thing with cooking the packs is that it is recommended that you only cook one a day.

You are just fine!!!

T

Hang in there Twinny -the first 4 or 5 days are the toughest, but even by the third day you should be feeling better. I remember feeling food was all around those early - days - but now take no notice of it.. In fact, enjoy seeing it - so it does get better and easier.

Good luck, and be strong!! And no, you did not cheat!! You are allowed muffins, crips, etc. :)

Urgh. Work is doing my head in. And I went to bed last night with a bad feeling in my neck -all my pain and immobility has been on the left side only. Now, there is a stiffness and pain on the right side at the base of my skull....and I am now so conscious of it, and praying that the condition is not now going up the right side of my neck as well.

Weigh in tonight, and I am hoping she has our before and after pics for us ready. I'll be annoyed if she doesn't. We are also meeting the new ladies joining our development group. Hoping for the best!

Hope everyone is having a good day, and Miss B, being a California girl, if I had been there this morning I would have had to go hug that oak tree - maybe even chain myself to it. That is a real travesty cutting down a tree that old - is it not protected or "listed" or whatever you call it? Isupose it is too late now - but that is a real shame.

Can't wait to see ur 100 day pix BL!!! Was thinking about those this morning actualy, thought I had missed the thread with um in! x

Afternoon, I've been a busy bee today. so far I'm on my third load of washing, made biscuits with DD2, started a vegetable tagine for the rabble's dinner, finished fixing the drawers that I started yesterday (that we bought from ikea at the beginning of march ). I've also done loads of paperwork, the VAT return and a bunch of invoicing. I just need to go to the post office and post them so we get paid and then can pay our staff. :D

I have pulled my back somewhere along the way though so it's a bit sore (will make aquafit tonight interesting) but I've done some yoga stretches which should ease it a bit.

Hi all,

Have come home from work to find some of my kitchen ceiling on the floor, and a very nice puddle!!

Luckily we had arranged for someone to come in and have a look at the leak - they should have been here 20 minutes ago though!

Anyways - got to dash and see if my bucket is full!!!

See ya later

Yippee - my leak has been fixed. The manifold hadn't been screwed up tight enough - plumber said it had been leaking for a long, long time, we've been here for two years, and brought the house new! Oh well - nice sun roof in the kitchen now, but floor boards not a nice alternative to the sun!!

Oh Corey, that happened to us. We kicked up a right stink with the developers. They came in, fixed it and put everything right for us including paying for the carpet to be replaced, sofas cleaned etc. The house was only 12 months old when the living room ceiling collapsed after a leak (the incorrect piping size had been used by the installers).

Don't let it lie Kid!!!!

Corey - Lemma is right - you can hold the builders responsible for that. If you had gone through with a claim, that is what your insurance company would do to - they would attempt to recover the costs from the builders.

Glad you got the leak stopped though, and I hope there is not too much resultant damage - if it has been leaking for a long time, it's very important they check to see how far the damp has spread and everything will need to be dried, etc.

Good luck!

Problem we have with this now is that it's just past the two year period that the developer will come in and repair. So just stuck with it now - oh well!
