Shake in thermos flask ?

Does anyone know why we can't do this. I made up a choc mint shake with ice in it and put it in a flask. Drank it 4 hours later and it was lovely. Why is this not allowed ?

Hi Anne Marie, it's because some of the vitamins and minerals start to deteriorate.

I think the make up of the vitamins and minerals are affected if you do not consume a shake within 15 minutes of making it. I think there could be an explanation on the back of the packets. However, someone with more knowledge of CD will hopefully come along and explain better than me.

Because the vitamins and minerals deplete after 15 minutes. The packs are designed to be made up and consumed straight away, tetras can be left longer.

Whilst the taste may not be compromised, the vitamins almost certainly will be.

I know its a pain, but best to go with what CD say, they must have researched it somewhat to give that guideline.
