Does anyone else think this?

That Natalie Cassidy (Eastenders Sonia) has lost way too much weight? I read that she can fit into size 0 jeans fron Gap (Not the most generous of sizes). It doesn't suit her in my opinion.

I haven't seen any pictures of her recently. Last time I saw one was a couple of months ago in a mag and she looked fantastic! Still looked curvy with a lovely trim tummy.

She looks great but she seems to be obsessive now. She doesnt take any time off her regime and did 2 hours a day with her personal trainer while on holiday!! Thats not normal! Shes done really well in losing the weight but she should relax a bit now and enjoy her new slimline figure.

I was dispointed to see the fact shes in a size 0 was one of the main headlines in a magazine this week... its this really what we want people to strive to be??

Well said Starlight, size 0 should not be something people shout about it's giving totally the wrong message to people. I got all excited about fitting into size 14 jeans at new year! I wouldn't want to be smaller than a size 10 although I know that I will probably never get below a 12 anyway. Being obsessive is never a good thing

That is scary. If she really believes that a BMI of 26 is "off the scale" then she needs help. It is obvious she has some kind of obsession now with it and that is just not healthy. We may all be obsessed to an extent with losing weight but for most of us that obsession is realistic: We know we are overweight and we have to lose it but also recognise the need to have a life aswell.

I hope she doesn't end up like all the other over skinny celebs.

If that's what makes her happy, more power to her. It's her body at the end of the day.

I agree that it is each-to-their-own but I don't think that people implying that the average size is obese. This kind of message is what is leading to a horrific number of eating disorders in children as young as 7! This message should not be put across, size 0 is NOT the norm and too many people are trying to conform to it and beating themselves up when they fail.

What really gets my goat is these magazines saying Natalie has gone from a size 16 to a 0. What they should say is a 16 to a 4 as the 16 is a UK size and the 0 is a US and equivalent to our size 4. They must do it deliberately just to make it sound far more extreme (although I do think a size 4 at 5'4" is very small, Natalie clearly has a very small frame to be able to get to that size and not look unhealthy).

I would like the women's magazines to show people's sizes in perspective because I can see why young girls want to look like the celebrities. If mags showed the celebrities from further away rather than a close up picture I'm sure we probably would think a lot of them are too thin. Most of them in close-up do look fabulous with just the odd person like Nicky Hilton looking painfully thin up close.

Very well said Sweetpea, I think she has got too small for her frame as her head now looks out of proportion to the rest of her body. She does look good but I think she went too far and the media shouldn't be making it look more extreme than it is

She has got a exercise video to launch and the slimmer she looks means more sales.

I totally agree.

She also has a career to resurrect so she'll be going on about her weight loss for as long as people want to hear about it. Give it two more months.

If her measurements are right, then she is NOT a size zero. I have smaller waist and hips than her and I am an 8/10. Nowhere NEAR a UK 4/US 0! I'm also only 5lbs heavier than her, but 2 inches taller.

I bumped (not quite literally but almost!!) into her the other day - and I have to say, she looked fantastic and not too thin at all. She really has got a naturally tiny frame, and her face wasn't too thin (in 'real life' anyhow). She was a very similar frame to my best friend, who was a UK size 4 before having her children (she's an 8/ 10 now). and she never looked too thin. It really does depend on the frame. I would NEVER be that size. The one and only time I was a size 10 was about my limit - I have a large frame to hang all this fat off!!!

I do worry about her comments though, if she genuinely believes BMI 26 is obese. But it seems to be a common media trait at the moment - you know the Size 16 girl who is in the Miss England contest? Well there was an awful article in the paper about her weight, criticising her for claiming her "clearly obese" figure was not a good role model. The stats they gave were in the overweight range (I can't remember exactly but I think 27 or 28, so mid range).

I find some of the media criticism of women disgusting, I mean this girl is Miss England and even she's not good enough! Not very encouraging for us ordinary women is it really? How can they claim a size 16 is obese? :sigh:

Also men don't seem to come under the same scrutiny, I'll pick a random example here - Jonathon Ross, now he's not a skinny guy is he? If he was a woman he'd be around a 16 or so I imagine. Yet you never see him named as a poor role model for men. Perhaps women are perceived as weak-minded and easily led? :(

Its quite scary that any one of us could get addicted to this losing weight.
I know some one who got to a size 12, but still saw the bigger her, she looked great, but nothing would convince her otherwise.

I think your brain needs to adjust to the weight loss.

Yeah, agree with both of you, natalie looks better with some of her curves back, although after all that hard work hope she dose'nt put most of her weight back on , and Eamon Holmes whoooo, he looks fit to burst...♥♥♥
