Hello all, well have started week and a half ago and lost 10Lbs in first week. Keep hopping on and off my scales at home since 1st weeks weigh in and they look as if they are going up again. What is this about? Have not cheated, drank my water and have been to the gym 4 times this week! If I put on or don't loose at least a few pounds I will be not pleased at all. It would be very hard to continue. Any thoughts are welcome. There is a drop in today so I may go. Hope all you LL's out there are doing well?

Vikki all I can say is don't weigh yourself if it's going to turn your mind - you are going to look sometimes like you've put on as your body weight naturally fluctuates up and down (I've been 2lb up all week and only gone back down today) - but if you let it bother you then it could end up pushing you towards the 'what's the point? - and cheating' scenario.

Also there's a chance that with going to the gym alot that you won't always show good losses but your body will show toning ---- all you can do with this is stick to it .... your body will lose what it's right for it to lose.

You're doing really well so far so stick with it and stay positive :)

Thanks for the support. Decided to go to drop in and had actually lost 2 Lbs!! So I think you are right and stay off the house scales. Cheers.

Great news about your loss :)

Well done on your loss, and keep it up you'll do brilliantly. The key is to drink the water it has worked for me though I have days that I struggle. Keep your chin up you can do this xxxx lola

Well done - keep it up - the weight will continue to fall off fast.

Remember water weighs 1 lb per pint - so if you are drinking 8-10 pints a day (or more) then your weight can easily fluctuate by several pounds through the day.

Hiya, through past experiences of dieting,i would ditch your home scales or put them in the loft..I have done this to mine.
As i think it all becomes obssesive! I am in my first week and dying to get on the scales lol :) but i know if i do i will be on and off them all day.
Also i am sure you will loose in your 2nd week but also through reading on here and past experience it wont be as much as the first week and it could be very little as your body is starting to adjust. But after week 2 there should be a really good steady weight loss.

kind regards xxx

cheers for all the support, gonna keep going and ditch the house scales. Wonder what my mum will think about that. The scales were a very generous xmas pressie from my mum, hinting as she is a size 6 and thinks that my weight is up for national discussion on a daily basis.....I'll be getting the last laugh soon!

Its seems that our mums think alike, my mum has ordered a wii fit board for me to encourage me to exercise. I'm in week one and she popped around yesterday to see how I was getting on!

I love her to bits but she is more obsessed than me. :D
