Exercise on Cambridge

Been on the Cambridge for a couple of weeks and have been told that it is okay for me to go back to the gym now. I went yesterday and Cross trained for 45 minutes and covered about 11k. Planning to do this about 4 times a week. Can anyone tell me what likely effect this will have on the diet/weight loss? Is it going to help or will it likely hinder it?

Grateful for your help.

It won't increase your losses or hinder them, instead when the fat goes you will be left with a better looking, less flabby body than if you didn't.

I have exercised throughout CD and returned to weight lifting when on the higher plans and it has really helped. I am very toned and have masses of energy. I couldn't have CD'd without exercise.

Best of luck.

i dont understand how it doesnt effect your weight lost - surely if were burning fat just lying around we will burn MORE fat if we excewrsize??

I know quite a few people who have stayed the same when they started exercise, but they definitely felt a difference in their bodies so weren't put off.

Hubby is on CD with me and he goes to the gym most mornings at 6.30am to work out. He is not far off losing 4 stone in the same 12 weeks as me (with the same weekends off).

The theory is that you gain muscle, which is heavier than fat, so your scales won't move faster.

Personally I was losing a steady 2lbs a week on the 1,000 plan and got light enough to feel comfortable about running, which I did before I gained weight. Now I'm training four times a week and losing 3-4lbs. It seems to speed my system up so much!

Like Dancing says you aren't getting enough protein to gain muscle but you may notice inch loss as existing muscles tone up.
