Question for the mums!!

Hey Ladies

One of the many reasons I started LL was to get down to an acceptable weight in order to start a family, as i am nearing my coal i am curious as to how much weight did you gained in pregnancy??? whats the most you have ever heard or the lease ... thanx ladies.

I ended up at 42 weeks pregnant weighing about 7lb less than I had at my very first appointment at the doctors about my pregnancy.

This was due to not drinking alcohol and was very quickly undone when I started drinking gin again after she was born but if you're sensible about what you eat then you shouldn't have any problems. Remember you only need an extra 200 calories a day when pregnant which is about an extra slice of toast a day.

I have had 3 kids, the 1st pregnancy I put on 6st, which was so stupid. I used pregnancy as excuse to not exercise, eat loads of takeaway food and I paid the price. The next 2 pregnancies I put on 3st each time, but still ate loads but not the rediculous amounts I ate the 1st time. You loose quite alot of it immediately but generally have to work a bit harder to get the rest off. I wish I had known about lighter life earlier, I've lived with over weight for years and you know that it doesn't have to be that way. You already have the key to post baby weight loss!! I think that my friend put on about the same as me at 3 st. Take care and good luck in getting up the duff!

aaaah thanks v much Weevic.. really helpful, will fight tooth and nail when i get to my ideal weight, your advice i found really fab..

I agree with Weeviki I have had 4 girls. The first didnt put on much at all and lost it quite easily was young then, the same with the 2nd. Always had to watch what I ate afterwards so when the 3rd was on its way went over the top and put on 3stone in the first 4 months had real trouble trying to get rid of it and when the 4th came just went beserk.

So the moral of the story is just because you are preggies doesnt mean you eat for two. Just eat very healthly and dont over indulge, wish I knew then what a new now.

Good luck.

I find that i go off food when pregnant.

With both my pregnancies i weighed the same at full term as i did at 5 weeks.

I put on weight after they arrive although i found breastfeeding helped a bit this time to curb that happening.

If you are careful with what you at, not manic about it, you should be ok.
