Was thinking of getting some at my second weighin on Monday as I am starting to feel a bit uncomfortable. Or has anyone tried another product that they found to be better? Any adivce appreciated. Julia x

Hi coccinella, i'm glad you started this thread because i personally use Fibreclear becasue the pharmacy suggested it but I find it useless so i tried dulolax and thats too severe so I'm afraid i'm in the same predicament... all suggestions welcome xxx sorry I couldnt help :(

same here with both posts..used fibreclear didnt d anything..then resulted to dulolax and i had stomach cramps etc...in the end i just left it and it sorted itself out to once every 4/5 days!! :)

h xx

I'm on CD but I'm using the fibre clear capsules I take 2 every morning and have BEEN nearly every day. I had a scary moment last week won't go into detail but never went to the loo for at least 10 days so it really is a god send.

I stopped "going" a month from reaching my goal, so I turned to Dulcolax and wow, it definitely works. I did have cramps at first, but I was really constipated and can confirm is works wonders. The only problem is the you can't really do anything the day after as you may have to go to the toilet a bunch of times before the affects wear off. No-one wants to be caught short while out and about! ;)

But every 4/5 days isnt really enough though is it??
I'm like that now and its soooo annoying. I'm going out tonight (obviously not drinkig or eating hahah) but want to look as good as possible) and want to "go" today as i feel uncomfortable (god this thread sounds terrible... but cant and if I take anything I'll be crippled, if I drink too much water I'll be bloated..its a vicious circle.
Anyone tried the natural laxative like senoxat or something like that??

I took Dulcolax once a week and I was fine. Remember that you don't have to go that often while on the drinks as you aren't producing as much, ahem, waste.

G'luck!

Yep, I've taken Senicot. I was the same as you, felt really bloated and it sorted me out. Problem is you needed to take one last night and you'd have gone this morning. The timings a bit dodgy now as you might get the urge whilst out:eek:

The thing is every 4/5 days is normal for me. My hubby....twice a day, but I hadn't gone for 10 days:eek: So Senicot was a god send for me.

I'm going to go out get some senicot and let you know how i get on :D . i presume its not as extreme as ducolax?

I know what you mean but i'm having a flapjack at lunch everyday surely that has to come out ?? (oh god sounds terrible)

I feel for you all, I went to BnQ and purchased a plunger. Great job!:D x

:sign0137:That is GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definately....Senicot...is much more "gentle"....for me the fibreclear was totally useless.....I took one every other day....just to keep things moving....especially the day before weight in!!!

I used the fibreclear all last week and found it did help. To start with I used the ducolax and then Fibreclear twice a day, one teaspoon. I felt like I had more energy and was a little more regular, thank god. Was suffering a while before this. Maybe try it for a week and see if it helps.
Hope you all feel lighter soon.

What ever works for you!! There were days I would have happily used one!!

I found fibreclear useless too. I took ONE senecot at night (half dose) in the first week because I have been very sensitive to laxatives in the past. This helped, but since eating 2 flapjacks a day, (I know, I'm strange) haven't needed to take anything. I've only been doing LT for 12 days though, so the more experiences LTers will know more. Maybe it does just sort itself out in the long term? And you can't expect to "go" as often surely, with the amount of food we are eating? I would have thought once every 2/3 days would be about normal. What have others found?

The flapjacks (which I actually got to like) were great and I got to reduce the amount of laxs I had to take....I "needed" to go at least every 2nd day...just felt slugglish if I didnt!!

A lot of useful advice...thanks everyone. I had tried the senocot a couple of days ago and it didn't do anything (startling to think a nuclear explosion might be required now lol). I am going to get the Ducolax from the chemist now and see what happens. I can cope with a few cramps, to be honest, long as I stop feeling so uncomfortable. Failing that I will go and get that plunger that Gary suggested! Thanks everyone, you are always so helpful. Julia x

Ive been the same since i started,i take a natural laxative(boots homebrand) every 3 days to help it along i only take 1 pill and the next morning im fine, wish i took one last night cos i REALLY need to go but cant lol but it makes me not want water or shakes when im like this.

xxx
