New Girl Reporting for Duty

Hi everyone. So glad to have found this site. I'm on Day 10 and feeling a bit "alone". I have battled with my weight all my life, have tried every diet under the sun, and had dismissed VLCD as a load of rubbish until I had run out of options. So after hearing a few success stories, decided to give Lipotrim a try. I've lost 9lb, so far, so good. But I have a lot to lose - 7 and a half stone, and it's a bit daunting. Does it just become a way of life? I have a husband and two kids, hubby is being very supportive and has taken over shopping and cooking, at least for the moment, so I don't have to think about food.

In the longer term, how do you all cope with going out and having a social life? Giving up my beloved red wine is a real sacrifice, but I have found that easier to cope with that I thought. When you aren't eating food, there is less temptation to drink I find.

Anyway, I am finding reading all your stories and weight loss results really encouraging and inspiring, expecially as a lot of people think this is a mad way to lose weight, and say "Oh just eat a healthy diet and excercise". If only if it were that easy. So please tell me your stories, what things kept you going, cos I have a long journey ahead of me, and I don't want to fail yet again.

Hello and welcome Cee-cee. You are not alone....far from it. We are all here, working to the same goal as you hun. You've done amazing already....just think 9lbs in 10 days WOW. I'd just take it a week at a time and it will be done before you know it.

hello cee-cee :D
this website is great its the only thing thats kept me going at times,my boyfriend is also really supportive if i dont feel like cooking then he will do it.
i try not to plan ahead to much just take each week as it comes.
ive still kept my social life aswell i went with my friends clubbin and drank water, i still had a great time,a few of my friends helped me by having one drink then a water so i didnt feel like the only 1 drinking water! being on this diet just shows me how everything revoles around food in my life so ive made a few changes like instead of going out for lunch on the weekend me and my boyfriend take the dogs to the beach or go for a walk somwhere.

good luck and whenever you are feeling abit crappy log on here!:D

hey cee cee welcome to the site, I have just started but I find this site great if you are unsure or a bit low.. keep us posted on how you get on!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. i am determined to lose the weight this time, am so fed up of looking for size 22 clothes, and the last time I flew had to ask for the seat belt extender. I vowed that would be the first and last time! Also want to do it for health reasons. My much-loved brother died a year ago of diabetes and heart problems, and although his death made me comfort eat, it shook me up a lot and made me realise I had to do something about my weight.

Also I am 50 next year, and want to look fabulous.

Awh so sorry to hear about your brother x
You def made the right choice choosing LT from here on in the lbs are just gonna melt away! Keep on track and log in here at least once a day and it'll be plain sailing x

Aw thanks guys... I feel like I am in really good company. Can't wait to get my proper computer back next week so I can see the Inspiration Slide Show. I'm having a mid-week weigh-in tomorrow (my normal day is Monday) so hope I see a bit of progress. Meanwhile, I'm just cruising around the forum, trying to figure it all out. What are "reputation comments"?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and having a few laughs along the way. And it's good to know there are a couple of new starters like me.

You can give somebody reputation hun if you like something they say and vice versa xxx

Hi there you are in really good company....this is a tough diet but so worth it!! Its fab to have a supportive husband - mine was too - and it just makes it soooo much more easy to do! You will be a bit of a hermit socially for a few months.....but you will emerge a new butterfly!;) Best of luck hun!!

Thanks Bea, and congratulations! Have had two June babies myself, it's a great month to have a baby, early mornings aren't so bad in the summer. My other daughter was born in December, and it was cold and dark, brrrr!

Tracy, thanks for the reputation explanation, is there a tutorial thing for newbies? Also, have been reading some old threads and have discovered I am seriously weird. I LOVE the flapjacks! In fact, have started having two a day. They make me feel like I've actually eaten something. I eat them with a huge mug of Redbush tea (my new discovery). YUM! (Can't believe I'm writing this. lol)

Oh me too....I loved the flapjacks too...there are now two of us in the whole world that like them!
