I have read in numerous threads about people having a drink of coke zero, is that permitted on SS?

If I am allowed it, it would be a welcome treat!

Please let me know

Thank you
Rachael

If you asked a cdc.. if the guidelines allow you to.. No.. you arent allowed to have anything other than water (still or sparkling), with or without the flavourings.. also leaf teas, tea and coffee..
do i drink coke zero? Yes.. i have 2 cans a week.. It isnt something you can all the time.. and litres of it..

it can make some people feel hungry.. and some people feel we should do the diet to the book.. i say.. if its something you want, as opposed to a bar of chocolate.. go for it..

but.. and a big BUT.. not everyone is different.. and it affects people in different ways..

I also have a couple of cans a week. My CDC said it was OK when I started, but I think new guidelines have advised against it.

Thanks for the answers.... I think I may have one as a treat just after weigh in!!

I understood you.... no worries. I often get carried away typing and then don't read before I send!!

I'm new to CD and went to see my counsellor last night. She told me that Coke Zero had never affected any of her clients who had drank it whilst sticking to the diet, so even though CD don't recommend it now, she would tend not to agree with them because of her personal findings. I actually don't like the taste of it anyway but I guess it's better than nothing....

Ive had 2 cans a day! and its been ok. but may affect people differently I suppose. My cdc said it should be ok, doesnt "recomend" it, but if it gets me thru the week without eating! hey ho!

V well put K. That pretty well sums up how I believe Cambridge feel about it.

Other fizzy drinks contain citric acid that can inhibit Ketosis. Coke Zero doesn't.

i should read my posts before posting them.. did that make sense to anyone? loll

I'm with your CD on this. I warn all mine about bloating/hunger but so far no-one has complaines of it.

as for the taste: just 'cos you don't like it now, doesn't mean you won't like it in a few weeks. S/S is a v restricted flavour & sensory palette. Weird things happen while people are on it...aside that is from the mega-weird phenomenon of a diet that actually works!!
