Weight loss advice needed...

I'm new here, and not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this in, so please bare with me.

I'm Bernadette, I'm 22 and a Masters student living and studying in Hertfordshire. If anyone could give me some advice on my weight-loss situation it would be much appreciated :)

I'm due to be bridesmaid at my sisters wedding in 2 months time and would like to lose some weight by then. I currently weigh about 11st 10lbs (BMI is approx 27) and i'm aiming to lose at least a stone. I know this may sound trivial, but it means a lot to me (with both my sisters being size 6/8, I've always felt uncomortable at family gatherings etc). I'm wondering what the most suitable diet for my situation is? I need something structured with NO temptation (i'm very weak-willed!) so I'm thinking maybe CD? How much could i expect to lose if I did CD for 2 months? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Again, please forgive me if i'm posting in the wrong place or asking silly questions. I've been lurking around this forum for a while now and think it's a great place :)

If you stick with CD SS or 810 option for 2 months you could lose 2 stone, but it is not a easy option, it can be difficult depending on how you look at it. IF you think you are depriving yourself then it is so hard, if you look at it as a choice to get to where you want to be, then you are most likely to succeed.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I think I might try SS for a month and see how I get on. I know it'll be hellish, but if I know it's only for a month and realise that it's a means to an end then I should be ok...i hope!

But surely if you do something that produces such quick results for just a month and then stop you will only put all the weight back on again? As you don't have a lot to lose I would suggest you try something that involves healthy eating as a lifstyle change not a quick fix

Yeah, that's a really valid point. I just don't think I'll reach my goal of losing a stone in 2 months if I just try to eat healthier. For me that's like having one slice of cake instead of two! I'm pretty rubbish with will power and all that stuff. :(

My willpower is crap too and that's why I know I could never stick to anything too restrictive. Look into all the diets out there and see which one best suits your personality and lifestyle.
