soup confusion?

Morning All,
Can anyone advise me....I asked for a couple of sachets of mushroom soup this week; I've just looked at it and seen that it is 'lactose free'. Is there a non lactose free version - and this just a mix up? If so, am I ok to take it, or is it best to swap it?
Thanks,

Hiya,

There is a very small range of lactose free packs, chocolate, vanilla and mushroom.

As mushroom only comes in lactose free quite a few counsellors stock it as an extra choice.

The only difference is soya milk is used instead of cows milk. The mushroom is lovely especially with lots of black pepper added. Remember no salt must be added to any of the soups.

On the subject of soups, how hot can they be? I make mine by mixing sachet contents to a paste with cold water, then adding the remainder of cold water, stirring, then heating gently. I like it with 250mls of water. I know they aren't supposed to actually boil, but....
Thanks - Louise

Morning,

Many people boil the kettle and leave it to stand for a few minutes and then make a soup.

Best to go with what works for you (as long as that isn't using boiling water!).

Cheers,
Kerensa

I think the only one that needs mixing to a paste is tomato isn't it?

I used to boil the water and leave it for the time it took to put the powder in the beaker, and a quick drink of water, then added the water and whooshed.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the answer...you are right about the black pepper - it makes soooo much difference!
Many thanks,
