Had first weigh in tonight, lost 2 and a half pounds. I know it's a loss but I honestly thought I'd lose more :sigh: The only time I fell off the wagon was to have a chicken omlette from the chip shop over easter.

My previous time at slimming world I lost 6 lb in the first week. Sorry for moaning, I know it's a loss which is a step in the right direction.

Hoping for the same or a bit more next week.
 
A loss is a loss and you can't compare this time to last time. Your body may have gone through some changes, your metabolism may have slowed down or you may not have had such a bad diet before starting this time as you did before joining last time. Just keep at it and be happy that it is going in the right direction. Good luck for next week x
 
Omg Thats A Good Loss! Wow! Id Be Happy With What Ever I Lose, Its A Step In The Right Direction And You Will Porbably Lose More Next Week. It May Have Something To Do With What You Had Eaten Just Before You Started The Diet. Onwards And Downwards

I'd never thought it could have been something to do with what I ate before the diet started Ruthy, you could have a point. I'm panicking as I'm getting married in 9 weeks, a surprise wedding I've only just found out about. I'm terrified I'll look horrendous :cry:
 
You won't look horrendous. I got married last month and although I wasn't at my ideal weight I felt like a princess. Stress can actually prevent you from losing weight - something to do with a hormone that stress releases, sorry I'm so good with the science! So just relax and enjoy your special day.
 
I did lost 1.5 on my first week and felt a bit gutted because i had been really good but over the next 3 weeks i lost 14lb!

Stick with it, it will work! :)
 
You wont look horendous you daft ass!
Get plenty of exercise in to tone you up, drink plenty of water and eat loads od speed food.

Many people come onto the site disappointed about their 1st weeks weight loss, i for one had a jolly good binge before my diet, chinese, kebab and chocolate! and i suppose it could play a big role on how much you lose in the week.

I have no doubt that you will have a great loss next week, just stick at it and look forward to you next WI

1.5 is great and you'll probably find your body catches up with you next week and you'll have another great loss x
 
Although you stopped doing it for a while, most of the principals will have stayed with you and you may have eaten better than before you ever joined therefore getting back on the plan may not have been such a hge shift in your diet. Keep losing 1.5lb a week and it will all be gone in no time!
